Here are my Dyno results with an AEM F/IC-8 installed. Most noticeable gains were at about 4,800 rpm.

Looks like the same results you would have with the Diablo tune we used. I did not test each item as we went though so just an assumption. What did this cost you and was there tuning involved to get here? How much tuning if so.

What was your fuel/air at for the final pull? Dont know how good your tuner is but You dont want it to lean, and cause detonation. Do you have any solid details on this AEM? This is the first time I've heard of it. It seems we all know about the diablo and the benifits it has. It would just be good to get some solid info on this product to do a side by side comparison.

Mark,
The AEM is 669 MSRP. I haven't been billed yet, not sure I will be as I am the first out the gate with it and have discovered a bug that AEM is now working through. Yes we tuned it on a dyno within a couple pulls. That was relatively easy. The wiring took about 6 hours. The benefit of this thing is built in boost control should I opt for TT which I am seriously considering. Saw your post on the limits of the motor and recommendation to go with a crate motor and start the build from there. Thanks. I Need to get this AEM bug worked out first though. AEM is bringing in a Challenger on Monday so they can replicate my issue.

Read above for benefits. My A/F is 13:1 at final pull

Instead of going with a crate motor, you could just have the bottom and top end rebuilt and it will be cheaper too. Not sure what area you live in, but you could look into HHP, PPP, Inertia motorsports, and franks racing. There is a guy in Houston that has one of the first TT systems on the 6.1. Mekong is his name on some of the other forumZ. The vendors are out there that could easily help you out. If your not sure about something or have questions ask and someone here will help out or point you in a pretty good direction. What shop are you going with anyway?

AR Fab in Winchester VA. Full service shop, motor build capability (all in house), TT design and fab, dyno on site, etc etc. Thanks for the other info though.

HHP has a shop pretty close by and they have done some really good things for these motors. They were one of the first to really modify the HEMI. They are a sponser on some of the other "Z" forumz as well. Looking forward to hearing about the TT set up, do you know if they are designing one for the 5.7L also?

Ours, with the setup we used and the Diablo tuner ended up being in the mid to low 12's so there is obviously more on the table.

Thanks Mark, I know there is but the bug I have in the AEM needs rectified first. Then back to the dyno for a few more pulls. I have in the interim while waiting on AEM put in a CAI and an aftermarket lower thermostat. I don't expect much if anything from those though.

And much more, did you follow the link I posted to AEM? I also believe the issue I have had with my AEM is a bad box. AEM installed one on a Challenger Monday to figure it out and couldn't replicate it. Since the wiring connections have been verified to the umpteenth time AEM is replacing my box. When received in the next couple days I'll post the result, good or bad.

It should do a heck of a lot more for about $1500 !
A Diablo Predator is about $350-$375.

Where on earth did you get that number from, the MSRP for an AEM F/IC-8 is $669.00 Wire it yourself if your including labor. It isn't rocket sience.:shakehead:

Pretty neat gadget... I am sure Howard at AR Fab wouldnt steer you wrong but I would have to say Diablo has more ability right now if the shop doing the work is a CMR Dealer... Now if the AEM Standalone was available, we wouldnt even be having a discussion :)

Was looking at this one!AEM Plug & Play Programmable Engine Management Systems (http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?N=700+400407+4294841095+115+310994&autoview=sku)
http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?N=700+400407+115+4294841095&autoview=prod
See that the F/IC-8 is cheaper and and still twice the price of a Diablo Predator. Is it twice as good. And I know it's car (SCIENCE)
