Hi Guys,

I come to all of you for your expertise. I just installed the AFE CAI, 180 TSTAT, and Predator running the 91 Octane CAI Performance Tune on my 09 5.7 Challenger and WOW I can tell a huuge difference. Its just awesome..

Now here is where my question is coming from. Since the install 2 days ago I have had the check engine light come on twice with the Thermostat Code. What should I have all of the settings adjusted to below? I live in an area where the winters are as low as 20-30 degrees and the summers get to about 110 degrees. We are currently averaging about 30-65. I would like a mid point where I will not have have to adjust depending on season.

Also my other question is because i did not load the tune initially i wanted to confirm that before adjusting the temp's that i didnt need to backup anything before adjusting the parameters or something? Thanks!

If you can fill in each with your recommendations that would be great..

Well I also have a 180 t-stat running the 93 CAI tune and I've never had any problems...no codes or engine lights...
I'm in KY so the weather can get pretty cold here...in the teens just a few short weeks ago.

I've been using these fan settings..maybe these will work for you as well...

188 - Low
192 - Med
196 - High

I use these for both AC/ON and AC/Off.
Water temp pretty much stays at 183-185

Ok, there is no medium fan on these cars so set your medium to your highest setting or your high will come on at the medium setting of 192.

Hope I'm making sense here !

I found some recomendations from Josh at HHP and most of the ones at Diablo are about the same.
High 194
med192
low189
Im waiting to see what Modular Depox does with mine next week when they have it for the extensive mods and custom tune.

Didnt know that! Fact of the day! Not worth worrying about at this point. They are coming to pick up the car Sat and its pretty cool out now. I will check what THEY set the fans at and pass on the info.

Fine w/me here's what Diablo has to say. We ask this long ago when we were some of the first ones doing the Tstat mod in early 06 on the 300C SRT's.

Took a little while to dig up. I'm sure Josh at HHP knows Johan.

No medium fan ?
That is absolutely correct. And this info came directly from Johan, the guy who did the programming of the Predator. Chrysler wrote code into the PCM for 3 fan speed settings, but only installed 2 fans for some reason. I guess they wanted to keep the option open for a future update to the fans.

Are you still throwing codes?
I'll be doing this mod soon too, but I havnt heard of 180* thermostat throwing codes even without adjusting fans with predator, here is a link to help page with good info

Maybe the thermostat itself is the problem, not seated properly/ malfuntioning.
