Mopar Invasion!!! "July 11th" Shelby NC

Who would like to invade a mostly Mustang and some custom oldies Cruise-in?
There is a cruise-in that is held on the 2nd saturday of each month from 5pm to 9pm at the Cleveland mall in shelby NC. I have been to it a couple times and I was the only Mopar there, a lot of Mustangs and some chevys, so I would like to get as many Challengers, Chargers, 300's, Rams, and yes Shane especially The Viper!!! any and all Mopars old or new would be great.

My plan is for us to meet some where away from the mall and cruise-in all together, (How cool would that be?)

Cleveland mall Cruise in!!! JULY 11th,

There are several restaurants near the Mall, Ruby Tuesdays is in the parking lot and would be a good place, (best salad bar ever), we could all eat there if anyones interested.

are you guys planning to join up and ride together, if so i don't know how long it takes to you to get to lake lure but Shelby is only an hour drive from there. of course the quickest way is I-85 but most certainly not the prettiest!!!

Lake Lure may be the best,
Kings mountain is a small mountain, not a mountain like you are thinking, it is probably best known for it's role in the Revolutionary war, there is a State park here but not much to it, kings Mountain national Military park has walking trails and lots of History on the war. so to answer your question not really anywhere to ride around here.

This is what me and Scott come up with for a good cheap day of enjoying our cars:The Anderson Group will meet at 8:30 a.m.Saturday the 11th of July at Charley Tees parking lot.Then we will go to Greenville and pick the rest of the group at Big Lots shoping center on Pleasentburg DR..Then we cruise over Paris Mountain threw TR to Hendersonville to eat lunch and meet Scott,then down to Lake Lure to ride a boat for an hour which cost $11.50 for a group of 10 or more or $14.50 for less than 10 people.Then from there we invade Shelby N.C. and rest and hang out.

I spoke with the guy that is handling the cruise-in to make sure we were OK to do this, and he was really excited about us coming, he did tell me the only thing I should know is they will be asking for a $2.00 donation when you register in, this is not required but the proceeds go to a local school for Handicapped kids to help pay for a trip to the beach. I told him that wouldn't be a problem.

Totally understand, Family comes first, there will be more M&Gs real soon! I am already working with the guy at my dealer for a sep 12th Mopar car show at his lot, I will keep you posted as to the details.

I need everyone to give me exact number of adults and kids coming with you if you want to do the boat ride in Lake Lure.I am trying to get a group rate and need to know exactly how many want to do this so I can get the reservation in by Friday.The group rate is $11.00 and the reg.price is $14.50 and I will but it on my card and ya'll pay me back.Please let me know by Thursday night how many adults and kids coming with you.

OK all my friends, I have ordered some new upgrades thanks to all the input and influence from you all at the M&G. I have coming a Corsa Performance exhaust kit, a Modern Muscle 85mm throttle body, a billet catch can, and a 180 deegree T stat. As you know I already have a K&N CAI and the DS Predator. I believe this will be it for the upgrades for a while for me. Anyone have any suggestions on the set up of this stuff? I am most concerned about any adjusting of the throttle body that may be necessary. It says it is plug and play, but may need some minor adjustment at WOT (dont know what WOT is). Just wondered what experiences you guys had with installing these items. Had a GREAT time on the ride and hope to see you all again very soon! :smileup:

Well I am trying to sort out the Road Atlanta deal for August and Scott is working with a local dealership in his area for a M&G and car show at their Dodge dealership for September.I am still waiting to hear back from Road Atlanta......

Well I got the call back from Road Atlanta and it's not good....It cost $4,300.00 for a day and they do not do hourly rents.The 4,300 is for medical staff and fire and rescue and track workers,they have to have that in place for anybody on the track.So I will go to plan "B" for something else to do.

Great I am glad the date works for you and dyno-day and car show at Benson's works for me.You just post it and I will be there for either.And for the Beacon it would be hard for me to swing since I do not drive my car to work and I live in Anderson,but if I would have known about it sooner I could have drove my car to work and went right after work.Oh well ya'll have fun be safe and see ya in August,I will post info on the ride Sunday in the southeast.

Ok so my guy at Mckenney Dodge in Gastonia has not made a commitment yet, I will give him a few more days, we were looking at sep 12 for a car show at that dealers lot, trying nto get a mobile dyno and some other things lined up first.
