Exaust question

I'm going back and forth between getting a stock RT dual exaust or an after market system (Borla or Flowmaster) for my SE. Assuming sound dosen't matter to me, would I get better performance out of an after market system?

I think there wouldn't be any difference between the RT systems and the aftermarket systems and if there is not much. You'll notice a change from going from single to dual either way.

dual exhaust is dual exhaust.

I got a RT exhaust and cut off the box muffler and resonators, installed magnaflow mufflers. sound great and performs well, I have videos posted on here of my exhaust in action.

Any exhaust that gets the air out more efficiently is a plus. I have an r/t and put a flowmaster system on(stainless super 44s with reso's) , did I get more hp, possibly, does it sound better, yup. to me it was a good choice, the car was just too quiet before. The new flowmaster is alot lighter system as well. Easy 45 lbs lighter...I didnt want to spend 1200-1500 for a system.

Going R/T route myself. Picked up the system from a dealership for free. Lot of people upgrading their R/T system at the dealers. They rip them off and throw it out, cause they cant sell used parts. Got the whole system with tips for FREE. Love free stuff
Just need to buy new rear valance. Cant wait to put it on.

good deal :smileup: my dealer doesnt do work like that, I wish they did though, I got my RT exhaust for $100.
