- MODS LIST!:
- Almost too many to list.... but Edlebrock supercharger is the biggest one. Car was also lowered, wider tires and custom wheels, Hurst shifter, custom stripe, engine department detailed, blacked out tail lights, quad exhaust tips, resonator delete, custom head rests, floor mats, trunk mat, door sills, etc. I'm probably missing something....
A true car guy - I subscribe to 6 car magazines! My family was solidly GM and I inherited my Mother's car - a 350 Firebird. In high school, my best friends drove MOPAR and we had a friendly rivalry as to which brand was better. So, I've been a Pontiac man all my life - still own a nice '95 Firehawk - but the new Challengers won me over! In fact, I'm on my 2nd one!
In the late 90s early 2000s, I became a fan of the TV show Nash Bridges. He drove a beautiful '71 'Cuda and it reminded me a little of GM F-bodies (Camaros, Firebirds) so I had to have one! I Purchased a very worn '70 '383 Barracuda but it was mainly for a rebuild. Had it for 5 years and did lots of work (total restoration needed) but got tired of it and sold it before it was finished. By then the MOPAR virus had infected me! After driving the new Camaros, I knew I needed something better. A 10 hour test-drive/rental of a '10 Challenger convinced me that it was the car to have.
I taught school for many years and the students all knew me as the guy with the Challenger. Now, I'm semi-retired and still substitute teach on occasion. The students at this school give my car lots of stares and it probably helps my image somewhat to be driving such a cool car.
This is an awesome forum - people are so friendly and helpful!
