On the first Saturday of every month from June to October we travel 35 miles or so over to Morris, IL for their monthly Cruise Nights. They average over 8000 spectators and up to 900 cars per each months event, with cars coming from as far away as Texas and other states. The types and numbers of cars that show up seem to change each month and they line up and down Liberty Street in front of retro looking business. It's about a mile walk to make it from one end to the other so you'd better bring along a comfortable pair of shows and your camera! The event is run extremely well and is just about the most relaxing place a car guy could hope to be. Lot's of great food and entertainment round things off. Check it out if you're in the area!

Dang, there are some super sweet rides there! I would've love to have been at that Cruise Nights! I wish we had those here. We had 'em every weekend where I grew up. There was this street where everyone would cruise and about every hour we parked in this mall parking lot to talk shop. So many cars there...Trans Ams, Mustangs, Corvettes, Chevelles, Chargers, Challengers (very few), Camaros, and some beaters, but never saw a Barracuda. Those were the days of great summers.

Thanks for the comments and glad you enjoyed. I always bring my camera and try to get some shots of the people mingling with cars and each other. That whole downtown area on Liberty Street is filled with old buildings that have cool business signs on their storefronts. Glad I got these because this year it doesn't look like they'll be having them due to the Pandemic. Sad....

So far no word about anything for this season, but I'll keep you advised if I hear anything Kenny. With that many participants in one small area I'm not sure how they could space out the cars, owners and spectators. It's that huge!
