Hey y'all! I joined this forum, to get some feedback. I bought a 2014 Challenger R/T, Dodge 100th Anniversary Edition this past June. The odometer has a little over 7000 miles. I'd noticed a sound like "valve chatter" awhile ago. About three weeks ago, the sound got noticeably worse, and got a "check engine" light shortly thereafter. Took it to the dealer, and the code revealed a mis-fire on #7 cylinder. They pulled the head, and found a "stuck" lifter. Further inspection of the cylinder wall, they found "scoring". A new short block is on order, and I SHOULD have the car back sometime this week coming. Didn't help the situation with the mech out sick for three days either! Basically, my question is this. Any of y'all got a 2014 with or without a HEMI tick? I'd like to know of both with, or without. I'm getting discouraged with the possibility of having a new engine, with the same problem. Also, any of y'all in South Carolina?
