Looks like Challenger sales continue to rise, up 71.9 % over last December and up .3% over last years total numbers. Total sales for 2014 were 51,611 up slightly over last years 51,462. With the Hellcat and Scatpack packages and redesigned interior I think sales will be continuing to rise again next year.

Here's the link to the allpar article that has all the numbers for the Challenger and Chrysler for their 2014 sales totals. http://www.allpar.com/news/index.php/2015/01/fca-reports-december-sales

And this is why Chrysler won't bust their hump to give any big rebates/discounts on the 2015. Buying mine at the end of the year proved to be a smart move... for me anyways. :)

Will be curious to see how Charger sales do this year with the restyle, you can forget December as the 2015s were just barely showing up.

There are good deals out there...

I ordered my 2015 SRT August 2nd and took delivery September 30th. Paid below invoice without belonging to any programs or family members working for Chrysler.

I've read a few posts about 2015's going for under MSRP as well.

Some dealers want to move the old stuff off the lots, so they may be more flexible with making better deals on the closeouts.

I'm originally from New Jersey and I must say that the sticker price goes up in Canada! Even more ridiculous since they're built in Ontario!

With that said I can't complain. Found my loaded Shaker on the lot this past October with a sticker of $49,860 which I flat out told him wasn't possible. After making several trips to the dealer and sticking to my guns the dealer knocked it down to $44,000. Add to that a $2500 rebate and I was happy.

They are offering $1,000 rebates on 2015s. For an almost all new car that is a huge incentive. They shouldn't be offering any incentive on a newly redone car.

At the beginning of the new model year there is normally minimal pricing incentives. After the car shows in March/April, the manufacturers will normally announce any additional incentives, usually $500/1000. But with sales as they are with the Challenger, $1500 off MSRP is probably all you're going to get unless the dealer has something in it that he can work with.

You know, asking your salesman when the rebates are scheduled is information they can give you. This way, you can just wait for the rebate period and then order your car. Also, if a rebate happens while your car is being made and delivered, you get that as well.

One last one, you can register at Dodge.com and will receive a $500 rebate in the mail within four weeks of signing up.

Please give me the name of the dealership you work with because all the ones that I've talked to in Ohio tell me they have no idea when a scheduled rebate is going to happen.... until it happens.

Rebates

I purchased my car from Expressway Dodge in Evansville, IN, my car salesman was John Chappel. However, when I was a car salesman, you were told in the meetings and were given view of the rebate schedules. They called them incentives and the customers that were waiting for them would start to pour into the dealership. People just want a good deal and they should get one.

Nice to see a healthy production level of 50,000 plus cars a year. If Chrysler can maintain that level of production then the Challenger should stick around for a long time.

Yup if the first generation would have sold like that they might have hung around for a while longer.

Most of us from an earlier generation should remember that MSRP stickers meant nothing more than a starting point from where you would start the negotiations. I remember my own father would beat the daylights out of a salesman to get the best price possible. I've seen him get a reduction that equaled the year end deal I got for my car... and it wasn't the year end.

My mother worked for a local AMC dealer way back when and she would coach us on how to get the best deal.

Nowadays they have changed what the MSRP price is for. The MSRP price is THE price and then you subtract whatever rebates/incentives the manufacturer made available. My mother always told me to never believe a salesman when he shows you an invoice price.

I've done well over the years with her advice (God rest her soul).
