This morning I drove just 1 block and the power steering went out on my 2015 Challenger with less than 3k miles. Will most likely have it towed in as it was nearly impossible to turn the steering wheel. Has anyone else had any issues with this?

Wonder if it may have had anything to do with the cold weather? Just speculation, but maybe it put additional strain on the system and blew a fuse?

Dan, that shouldn't happen, I do drive mine in very cold weather, no problems at all. Something different about the 2015's???

The 2015's have Electric PS. Ours(<2014) are still hydraulic, power steering fluid(actually ATF+4 Transmission Fluid). Although when it's cold, mine is kinda stiff until it gets warmed up.

But true, that shouldn't happen, and I would think that Chrysler had done its share of testing in cold climates.

Electric power steering has been on the R/T since 2011.

Well now I am really confused. What could cause this on the 2015's??? I definitely don't think the cold could be the problem. You guys all know I drive mine in single digit weather!

This is a dangerous issue, I've heard that some have had success in turning off the car and restarting it, it reset the steering and all was fine, but after time that didn't work either. GM I believe had a recall going for something like this, had to do with water/ condensation effecting the electric assist steering :4-dontknow:

With about the same amount of miles, I had a code for a bad fuel pump. The dealer replaced both. Since then, I have had a trouble free vehicle that makes me smile every time I drive it.
