Never seen that article Kevin, very good reading, its a shame that Car & Driver traditionally hasn't been too kind to Mopar products.

To the automotive magazines, the Challenger's heavy weight will always keep it from scoring first in a comparison.

"At $39,490, our base Scat Pack was both the cheapest and the most powerful car in this test.......the Challenger posted a better quarter-mile run than either enemy, both of which are lighter."

Nuff said
Isn't It amazing that Car & Driver didn't want to dwell on that fact.:4-dontknow:

I actually think the article was pretty fair. The results are pretty close although very subjective. Lets face it, are cars are pretty good sized. Depending on your point of view, that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Doesn't matter. The mustang will never beat the Challenger in the looks department!

LOL they called the Challenger a SUV thats funny, people will buy what they like, I like Challengers so they're the best car but you like Mustangs so they are best, depends what you like and what fits you best, the mustang and camaro are small to me Im 6-2 the Challenger looks great to me and has room. out of the 3 Dodge wins in my book, maybe yours too but not in the eyes of the Mustang or Camaro lovers.

Not sure if this has been posted. Interesting article from Car and Driver.

Fact is that Car and Driver is anti Mopar.

Let's get real. Even according to their own article, the Challenger Scat Pack is the fastest, with the most comfort and most interior room, and still is no slouch on the skid pad. .91 isn't exactly bad. So I would have to say, to the average person who is looking for a new muscle car, the Challenger would be the most attractive, most useful and most versatile everywhere but on a road race course.

I know it is for me, I love my scat Pack

Motor Trend, World's leading car magazine, did a similar test of the 3 and ranked Challenger last even though they admitted it was fastest in the quarter and the best looking of the 3. Camaro won on the sole merit of doing the race track lap the fastest. I called them down on it and it was published in this month's letter section. Mine is the 2nd letter and I'm from Fort Russell, IL. Can't find a link since MT wants to charge for magazine on-line but if you get the mag or see it in the store, check it out. There were actually 3 others who wrote to defend the MOPAR brand!

I was looking at the '15 Mustang GT Premium. I'm a big chap, but the Mustang did fit. Provided I don't get any bigger. ;) But driving it, it felt bigger than my '11 Challenger. You can't see out of the stupid thing. To top it off, at $2000 less (MSRP), the Scat Pack is MUCH better equipped. And roomier. And a better everyday ride. and better looking (to my eye). and has 60ish more HP.
