I have a question. I wanted to delete resonators and put a straight pipe and swap factory mufflers with super 44 flowmasters. The shop is saying that the mufflers are too big and wont fit where the skinnier factory mufflers are and they want to put it back where the resonators are. Is this ok or did others not have a problem putting mufflers where the factory ones were. ( Oh by the way info says I have an SXT but i traded it in and pulled the trigger on a 2015 sublime R/T).

Just a suggestion, when I had my RT I wanted more sound but didn't want any drone. A fellow employee had the same car, he replaced the mid mufflers with straight pipes and left the rear resonators. I loved it , did the same to my car $150 and got the sound I was looking for. Best part is you can add new mufflers or delete the resonators later if your not happy. I'm pretty sure you will like it.

I have a 15 rt and swapped my stock mufflers with borla xr1 mufflers and replaced my resonator with straight pipe. Everything fit fine on mine they just twisted the mufflers a little to be sure everything fit with no rubbing but it is tight.

I am looking to use the Magnaflow axle back system which would land in the same area as the current resonators (under the fender well). This would remove the current resonators and mufflers and put straight pipe in place of the OEM muffler. My local Magnaflow garage said it is the best setup.
