I have seen a few comments about how the 2015 is not liked, and I have read about the aerodynamic improvements.

Aside from the minor restyling of the tail lights and grill, I simply can not see any changes to the body of the 2015 Challenger. I parked right next to one, and don't see any changes. I did see the hood vents are moved forward...

The interior is clearly changed, which I really like.

So what are the changes I have heard complained about? I actually read one comment on this forum that the 2015 looks like a bloated Dart...

Just curious...

Speaking for self... I think the 2015 is a great car... However, I like the old interior because it reminds me of the 70's models.. I like the 71' styling cues but Dodge tweaked a few other things that I don't like as much as my 13' model.. the rear bumper, the elongated creases on the hood. It is almost like it was just a bit over-styled. I realize Dodge had to update it and freshen it a little to appeal to more than just the diehard old-school hot rodder... so I am not trying to hate on Dodge. But I prefer my 13' model - to each their own...

The only things I dont like about my 15 are the reflectors in the rear bumper. Looks like an after thought.

Headlights are smaller, front grill is different, hood is different, tailights are different, rear spoiler and rear bumper are different, wheels are different, etc. They are all minor changes but if you park next to one you'll notice them after looking. I think the restyle is great, they kept the same great overall look but just freshened it up a bit.

The interior is completely different, all new as far as I can tell. I think it looks nice, but prefer the simple look of the old interior.

If someone were to give me one I sure wouldn't be complaining, they're sharp cars! But mine is just about paid for and I love the color/engine/trans combination that I have in my 2010 so it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

I like nearly all the minor changes in my '15 over the '13 I traded in - just personal preference. The one thing I do NOT like is the change in the headlights and parking lights. I liked the pre-'15 style and I hate halos. Sorry just hate halos - I try to overlook them. Too much like the lame BMWs for me.

Carl, I agree about your car. I like the way you have kept it a solid hemiorange, and I really like your wheels. I wouldn't change anything about your car either. Come spring, if you get a polisher, it will be so easy to polish, no stripes to work around and more paint to be shiny and scratch free! Keep that classic look, it is great in my opinion!

I think that the "bloated Dart" comments have been directed more at the 2015 Chargers rather than the Challengers.

sounds like you might be getting the Charger and the Challenger mixed up. The Charger had a lot of changes made to it that a lot of people don't like.

As for the Challenger, it doesn't seem to have upset many people. Yeah some of us are like meh I like the pre 2015 exterior more, but I rarely hear someone say they just plain hate the exterior changes at all.

However speaking as a previous 2012 Charger owner....I hate the 2015. It really does look like a overweight bloated dart. It used to look mean, now it looks kinda happy. However I haven't seen one in person just yet. I hear it grows on you. I will just have to see.

I may have mistook Charger comments for the Challenger. I did read that the Challenger wind tunnel numbers improved a bit...don't know how.

My dealer had a new 2014 on the lot equipped similarly, V6 with the 5speed auto...For a few thousand less and a bigger rebate. I sat in both and loved the 2015 interior over the 2014. Once I sat in the 15, it just fit me. I loved it. The 8sp auto made the decision a no brainier for me.

Having just bought a 15, I am probably a little prejudiced, but, I like the new interior over the old. the 8.4a/8.4an is a good unit, the instrument cluster's take on the classic tic toc tach is pretty retro to me. I like the exterior changes as well. the new taillights are more my style, the split grille to me looks better, and while I don't need halos per se, I do like led accents on headlamps like a lot of mfg are doing these days, so the halos are ok by me, and I definitely prefer H.I.D. to halogen headlamps. the overall softening of the edges is not "in your face" but a subtle change. As for the Charger, I absolutely hated it the moment I saw it. however, I have changed my mind sort of. I still can't stand any model with the black bumper centers. too cheap and "Darty" for me, however, the models with body colored front bumpers like the Hellcat and Scat Pack actually now look ok to me. I guess they grew on me as others have said.

The front and rear bumpers don't stick out as far as the '08-'14s do.

I like the old and the new.

I just can't stand the new cartoonish big smiley face lower grill, I won't buy one because of it.

Someone tried to tell me the '15 is a "new generation." Somewhere else I think I saw it called, "all new."

But, unless I'm missing something, the only external changes for '15 are the front and rear fascias (bumpers, grilles, lights, etc.) and some minor trim pieces. I'd guess the '15 hoods and doors will bolt right on to an '08-'14 model and fit perfectly... sort of like comparing a '70 to a '71, hmm?

The interior is a different story, of course.

The same thing happened to me. I originally went in to look at a used 2013 rt. after sitting in my 2015 I was sold and kept finding little things I did not like about the 2013 so I could justify spending the extra cash on the 2015.

There a lot of great things on the 2015, the one thing I worry about is the black plastic around the tailights, it looks like that will get scratched and marred very easily. I saw a brand new one at the dealer 3 weeks back and it already had scratches and marring.
