The 2015 SRT 8 hood is on Rosie I'll put the hood bezel on once the paint/wrap work is done in the spring.

Thanks I'm loving it I need to talk to the body shop about getting it painted but I'm really happy with the look. My guess is it'll be April before take it in and get it completely finished.

I just noticed this thread but you installed a nice looking hood, Jay. The new hood evokes the look of the '70 AAR'Cuda's hood.

Nice hood. If I may ask, where did you get it from?
Thanks, I got it from Steve White motors but local dealerships should be able to order them which should save you a bit on shipping.

Thanks Scat Pack that's definety where I was headed. I wanted it to look as if they had offered an AAR package for the challenger. So the modern SRT 8/Hellcat hoods looked perfect for what I'd envisioned.

why are you painting it? looking at the pictures it fits and looks good. but lets see the finish product.
Yeah can't wait to let the body shop adjust it in April and then to drill for the pins and get it painted. Right now it's the factory E-Coat primer so it'll need a coat of paint and clear since the primer wouldn't last with out additional coats.

The hood looks great, nice job.
Thanks, I'm really excited about getting it done and painted! I've wanted to do this since last summer but it just took this long to get a hold of a 2015 SRT 8 hood.

That looks just great! Well done. Keep the black color, it looks brutal
And....:rep:
Thanks Sweden it'll be sprayed black and then matte clear coated. If the sheen is close enough I'll stop there. If I'm not happy with the match I'll get it wrapped after it's painted.

Thank you. I just found it on Ebay from Steve White, but I'll speak with my local dealer here.
You're welcome hopefully you'll enjoy you're new hood!!

Just saw this Jay.....man does that look killer!!!!!!
Thanks Susie it was worth the wait :)

Reminds me of the tear drop hood I had on my 78 camaro . Looks great
Thanks Steve I can see the resemblance, I thought those Z28 hoods were awesome when I was little. When I saw the first 2015 SRT spy pictures I was thinking that might be the hood for me and then when the 2015 SRT 8 shots came out I thought if it would fit that would be the hood to get. Until then I'd been undecided on the hood so figured I'd wrap the stock one black in the mean time.

The bezel is the plastic screen mesh piece that pops into the hood at the opening.

There isn't an air flow system made for the SRT 8 hood as of yet. I might see if I could get the AFR shaker base to mate up to the bottom of the hood but need to take some measurements and call Steve to discuss it with him more.

Mopar showed what they might make after market to fit under the SRT 8 hood at SEMA on the T/A concept Challenger but it's not clear when/if it would be made and or how much it would cost.
