Hey Y'all. Ive been having this long term vibration problem with my challenger for years now. ive has this problem since 25000 miles and am now at 80k. at that 25k nexus point i made a hard right and a hard left turn to a stop and immediately could tell the car didnt drive the same (sort of felt like it was bouncing up and down when driving slow) I know what the car drives like when its brand new and its not that bad of a quality drive for being an over weight american car with a v6. ive gotten 2 sets of new tires since owning. Multiple alignments and balances and im on my third set of brakes. for started my front pass tire seems to always get an outer tire wear and wears down faster then the other 3. i take very good care of the car maintenance wise and never really abused it/got into an accident with it I have a vibration in the steering wheel that never seems to fully go away. Ive taken it to dealerships and private mechanics all the time and they can never spot anything front in the front end or with suspension and always seem to tell me it drives fine. it happens all the time but more so when im traveling on the highway and i have to turn my wheel about 5- 15 degrees. i can never get a smooth ride out of it even if i get new tires/balance/alignment and im driving on a freshly paved road. Recently my drive shaft started to vibrate really bad and i thought eureka something finally gave and this is the problem. After not being able to locate an oem i went and got one custom made one piece conversion. i got the car back and it stopped clunking when switching gears from PRD and was smooth at lower rpms and gently going 0-60. but anything other than that its starts to vibrate more. at around 3k rpm i do get a shaking and at 80mph+ its becomes an even more rough shake and even at that it did nothing about my original problem with what i believe is a front end shake which i feel in my steering wheel (video attached). a few months back i dropped it off at mavis for brakes and an alignment and i dont know what the guy did but when i picked it up and drove nice and firm as if the problem went a way. fast foward to 24 hours later like night and day i felt the change go back to being a POS drive while driving on the highway. another way to exacerbate the problem if im cruising down the high way and hit the brakes and it down shifts when i pick back up on the accelerator it starts to shake like in the video sometimes even worse (even with a brand new driveshaft). when i slow down for an off ramp with a turn on it it would also shake even more noticeably. and once again i go atleast every month and a half to get my tires rebalanced and an alignment. and once again ive taken it to shops/dealer over the course of years and to no avail they seem to find nothing
This is what my alignment sheet usually looks like and heres a little video of the shake. sometimes is shakes more sometimes less Dumb dodge challenger shake

yeah no fooling. it has 4 brand new continentals and still shaking. any other observations?
Perhaps a Body Shop with a Frame / Chassis Machine can check and see if there is any issues with the Sub Frame ...
Did you buy the Car new or Used. If used any previous history of an Accident?

Bought it brand new from the dealer. Thats a good suggestion.
A suggestion, I would have the front differential checked. A symptom of problem is vibrations in steering wheel.

hey my mechanic and i went through all the suspension friday after noon and it seems that the passenger side spindle or control arm is bent inward and isnt level where as we put the level on the driver side and the read out was perfect. he going to bring it to the machine today.

thats a very good suggestion. im going to swap it out next after i get my spindle and control arms replaced. i googled the symptoms for that and it seems those are the problems i am dealing with in terms of vibaration and shifting
Agree, swap the front differential and CV axles. It wouldn't surprise me if that axle has a bad CV joint. I would be pissed if my car acted this way, hope you find it. That tire looks scrubbed FYI.
I am baffled at this point, following to see what the resolution turns out to be.
