Since Petty's Garage.com seems to be the only source for a front strut tower brace for our 3.6 VVT, (Mopar strut braces apparently for V8 only) does anyone have any experience with Petty's brace for 3.6?
I have the same on my Challenger. I got one on bare metal and took it and had it powdercoated Gloss Black. It takes about an hour to install and I noticed to stiffness immediately. It replaces the Cowl Brace that goes across the car. I think the Petty brace bolts into that bar. My way of thinking is that if you bolt the strut brace to the cross bar, it isn't as rigid as replacing the cross bar with a one piece unit made of chromoly steel.
With the sales Speedlogix is having now, maybe you can score one. Good Luck!
Thanks for the input. The problem is I would like to use caps to finish off the install and this version requires trimming the cap whether OEM or aftermarket.
