What Challengers came with a 3.90 gear rear end ? I,m looking at a 2014 and I thought I saw that it had a 3.90 gear in it . Is it only the SRT8 , the Scat Pack ? Thanks . BooBoo

All The R/T's with 6 speeds and 20 in. wheels came standard with 3.92 gears.

Since the 2015 redesign of the Challenger, the Super Track Pak option gives you rear end ratios of 3.07 and 3.90 based on engine and transmission combinations and are available on the SXT and R/T models. The Hell Cat gets the 3.70 rear gears.

Only manual transmission cars get the 3.90 ratio. A lot of confusion has resulted over the years because the window sticker will list the 3.91's because that is the standard gear with the standard transmission. Then they don't see where on the sticker it then lists optional equipment showing an automatic and 3.06 gears. For 2014 the automatic V8 cars will have a 3.06 ratio and the manual transmission cars will be either 3.73 (with 18" rims) or 3.91's (with 20" rims).
