The grommets on the underside of the half covers are spaced identical to the original 5.7L cover so there's an exact fit to the existing ball studs protruding from the fuel rails
Thanks!!!!!!

NP. However, depending on whether you have an auto tranny or CAI, you may need to do some trim/cut/shave the half covers to make them fit. I can't recall them off hand, but there are some older threads that discuss the adjustments made (particularly the need to cut a notch in thepaassenger side cover near the firewall.

Modified and Painted 392 Engine Half Covers for 5.7.L R/T

I am just completing this project and wanted to share the finished look.
I used a dremel to remove the raised letters "392 Hemi" on both halves and painted with engine high temp paint to match the car color. Had to cutout the passenger side half some for the automatic fill cap and top next to the manifold for clearance. No big deal with the dremel cutting tool, just take your time. Then tape off with blue painters tape underneath and duct tape on the top of the painters tape around the raised badge area to protect the cover before starting the grinding. It was a fun mod to do and glad to see the actual Hemi engine vs that stock engine shroud. My badges are on order with Nate which will be a quick to install and on the next mod......

Thanks Burnone! Here is another picture showing the entire engine compartment. The painted covers really compliment the newly installed white Speedlogix strut brace. FYI- I had to used the stock 90 degree hose connection elbow (removed) to clear the passenger side cover half underneath and shortened the hose to the catch can.

I know it's not a Challenger, but this thread inspired me. I'm in the middle of a shaved manifold project, along with painted 392 covers. The inserts should be pretty sweet when they are done. Going with raised letters that say "MOPAR PERFORMANCE", a nod to the old school valve covers.

I've got a BT catch can coming with the Z bracket and after looking through all the posts, I've decided to do hard lines for the catch can.

Really excited on the progress and can't wait until everything is painted & installed :)

^ Cool man, sounds nice! You should post up some pics when you can.

You should also go to the newbie sub forum and introduce yourself so you can get a proper forum welcome!

Any promo codes for this when I go to Steve White Motors website? Worth a shot....
Cha1 is discount code, with free shipping it's right at $170 a set.

He has a new style out now that's really cool, says powered by Mopar in blue or red
