50 sexiest cars of all time, where would you rate the Chally?

My list would be:

1. Jaguar E-Type
2. Shelby Cobra
3. Dodge Viper
4. Disco era Corvette
5. 2008+ Dodge Challenger

#1,#2 and #3 I could never afford and #4 I couldn't afford to replace the frame.

EDIT: I think I should remind everyone that the word sexy has multiple definitions and when applied to cars it means "Highly appealing or interesting; attractive" which is why there are some oddballs on the list.

We should also take note that all manufacturers often cater to our basal instincts and design products specifically to elicit responses. For example, the Coke bottle design is that of of woman with equal bust and hip measurements.

Very different styles of vehicles. American cars are big, bold, in your face and meant to intimidate for the most part. Very few are sensual and curvaceous in the same way an AC Ace (Shelby Cobra), E-type, Miura or various Ferraris are.
I can say I have only ever applied the word 'sexy' to C2 Corvettes, Vipers (the Gen 5 was styled to resemble Halle Berry on her side: The New Viper Was Inspired By Halle Berry - Jalopnik) and verrrry few other American cars.
Classy, bad ass, cool yes, but not sexy.

While I consider the Challenger to be a very good looking car, and definitely one of the better looking cars in recent years, I would not call it sexy. An E-type, most definitely. '63 Split Window, grrr baby! The Lamborghini Miura has to be on that list, likewise Ferrari's Monza models (750 and SP1/SP2). But for me, the Challenger wouldn't even make it into the top 50.

Sorry but I can not use the term or refer to my Challenger or anyone elses as a Chally. Out of Cars I have owned its my 3rd Best looking Vehicle 1st and 2nd is a GNX, and a Turbo T.
My List will never match anyone elses as for 50 best looking Vehicles that's like a list of the 50 best Guitarist by another persons Article... My List will double that and not in order as well.

What constitutes a car or any vehicle to be labeled as sexy?

What has sex got to do with the car anyway?

It is almost like a time came and went that guys needed a car to get a chick, thus the reference a chick magnet?

We know how the Muscle car got its label from engine power but you could have the Classic Muscle car sitting there, with no engine under the hood, is it still a Muscle car? It literally has no Muscle.

Now I'll wait for the sexual frustration to rise in the pea brain for an explanation?

🤣 🤣 🤣

When you speak of chick magnets, it made me think of my high school girlfriend who always liked to date guys that had cool muscle cars!
So I guess that is an appropriate term.

Yes... Chally is by far one of the worst nicknames for a car I have ever heard. What a word to neuter such a powerful word/name and car.

It's a very interesting point. How can the visual appeal of an object arouse sexual desire? How does an object elicit an emotional/ chemical response that makes you fizzy on the inside?

I believe Chat GPT created that list (same program that assisted in someone suicide recently) so take it for what it's worth, LOL
BUT a simple change from Sexiest to Best Muscle creates an entirely different list and one much more in line for us to agree to disagree on :ROFLMAO:
It also automatically built the list based on Decades and I kind of agree with a lot of it.

I asked Chat GPT for.... 50 best muscle cars

🔥 Classic Muscle Legends (1960s–1970s)
  1. 1964 Pontiac GTO – The original muscle car. (I would disagree on 1 & 2, the 70 Chevelle SS454 LS6 will always be #1 on my list)
  2. 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 LS6 – The king of classic muscle.
  3. 1969 Dodge Charger R/T 426 HEMI – Big block and bold.
  4. 1971 Plymouth HEMI ‘Cuda – Rare and brutal.

  9. 1969 AMC AMX 390 – Compact and powerful.
  10. 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 – Understated but fierce.

Modern American Muscle (2000s–Present). (HELLCAT took #1 for 2000+, I wont argue with that, LOL)
  1. 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat – 707 HP game-changer.
  2. 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 – Track-focused monster.
  3. 2023 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 – Balanced brute with supercharged finesse.
  4. 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye – Super sedan with insane power.
  5. 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon – Drag strip destroyer.
  6. 2004 Pontiac GTO (LS1/LS2) – Aussie muscle with American heart.
  7. 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt – Classic cool, modern performance.
  8. 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing – Luxury meets 668-hp lunacy.
  9. 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS – The modern rebirth.
  10. 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 – Supercharged comeback.

Shelbys, Cobras, and Bosses
  1. 1965 Shelby GT350 – Race-bred pony car.
  2. 1967 Shelby GT500 – Eleanor and legend status.

  3. Ford Mustang Mach-E GT – Controversial but quick.
  4. Tesla Model S Plaid – Not traditional, but outrageous speed.

Personally, I don't use the term "sexy" for anything relating to muscle cars, however, there have been a few over the years that would qualify.

While that original list of 50 is ridiculous to most of us, it did come from an Australian-based site.

Speeding through the list, the one that stood out to me the most was the Cord. Only because I was enamored by them when I was younger and even did a lengthy book report on one when I was like 12.

I rate the Challenger as #1 as modern affordable car. The new Bentley Continental GT also look great but way too expensive. Pretty much any 68 to 72 GM product and Ford 69 through 73, Dodge is similar. Only a couple like the 70's Trans Am, Nova and it's siblings along with the Aspen and Volare looked good. The rest, big and ugly till the late 70's downsizing for GM and a few in the 90's and 2000"s.

Jaguar xke and f type, bmw z8, bunch of different Ferraris, Maseratis and other exotic or vintage vehicles that I likely couldn't afford to insure, fix or buy would probably be on a top 50 "sexy" list. Realistic list of cars people could actually afford and use as a daily driver would still be skewed and while I don't consider my car sexy there's really not much out there I'd trade it for (financial considerations aside). I do like some Porsches, Nissan Z, Toyota Supra though but not sure I'd consider them sexy. I'd rate the Challenger the best of the retro inspired modern muscle cars though...
