hahaha....don't forget you also have to make sure your teeth are always clean white and in some cases you have them on LOL, cause of that perma-grin you'll have.
Not convinced....still want one....
Here are my top 7 reasons as to why I would not want a Hellcat:

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up!

One day we were at our Dodge dealer helping my youngest daughter and her husband buy a car, their salesman finds out I bought a Challenger from them a few years back and we start talking, my wife had recently said I could trade up to a newer model if I wanted and he says to me "Hellcat?" and I am thinking yes but you guys are going to ask $10-20k over invoice and that isn't in the budget then I say but if not for that I would think about it real hard and he starts trying to convince me "707 hp" he says and I thought my wife was going to choke, she looks at me like I had just shot someone and says NO, you cannot have that one! after driving an R/T Scat Pack last week, I am thinking that one of those would be fine with me!
Here is my reason for not owing a Hellcat

1. My wife won't let me.
2-7. Doesn't really matter, see number 1.

Truth under the right circumstances I could probably get one but I'd rather retire in about 5 years than own a Hellcat.

IMO aside from it being a hellcat in that article those 7 reasons apply to all challengers for the most part
I thought the seven reasons listed were put there for humor and not intended to be serious....at least I didn't take them seriously. The most entertaining part are the comments from readers posted after the article...........
I think, if anything, dodge man 2 sums it up most accurately in post no.6 above.............
I would like to get one, but then I would have nowhere to live after selling my house to buy one haha!
Dang, if only it was good in the snow LOL. Personally I'd love to have one, if only that reasonable price was about 20K more reasonable.
just having a hard time justifying getting rid of my perfectly good low mileage SRT to upgrade to the Hellcat...that will sit in the garage for 7 months of the year. That said, I have no issue buying a ski boat that is used for an even shorter season!!!

I'm just trying to talk myself into it!

I think you just showed reason enough, you will get more use out of it than a ski boat so there you go  LOL.

This is great!

Yes, purchasing a Hellcat is a MAJOR move. I would not do it. I can barely justify my R/T sitting the garage for most of its life. And the power? Whew!:Wow1: Mine is totally stock, engine wise. At my age, it's sufficient enough to look and sound mean. Twice the horsepower would be a power trip for most folks. It sure would be the best Christmas present, ever! CC: Wife :D
Keep on CHALLENGING!
I love the challenger, and I think the hellcat is an amazing machine, but I don't think I would buy the hellcat. Someone who's buying a 700+hp vehicle is buying it because they want the fastest car around. Well one day someone is going to pull up next to you in this car:

2015 corvette Z06

200 less hp, only $20,000 more (not bad for a full out race car) and much faster than the hellcat. I'll still take my 5.7l challenger over that vette anyday, looks more bad ass and I'm not looking to beat anyone at the dragstrip.

Vette can be a big PITA to get in and out of... several of my friends have one... i have beaten a few of them with the wife's old Charger... you have to know how to drive one... just like the hellcat... end of the day if you can afford to pay to plsy why not the 7 reasons listed only apply if you are trying to decide between a Prius and a Hellcat... just saying
I would consider the vette if it already had a seqential shift manual transmission, other then that "meh"...I never really liked vettes or GM overall..and yes, agreed, that the vette is for the thinner population..LOL
Yea you can look like a real idiot driving a vette. A guy I unfortunately know has a 2014 corvette and he weighs every bit of 350 pounds. Its hilarious to see him crammed in there and even funnier watching him trying to get out.
Referring back to the original article
1. It's expensive - Yep
2. It's terrible in the snow - hahaha anyone who would attempt to drive it in the snow shouldn't own one to begin with.
3. You will spend a fortune on tires - I haven't had a problem yet unless I wanted to...
4. You will spend a bigger fortune on gas - If you go wide open throttle on a highway in one of these, your worry will be law enforcement not gas. Right now I'm not much worse off than I was with my 392 gas mileage wise.
5. You will spend a fortune on insurance - My insurance cost actually dropped with the hellcat, but I was also carrying extra insurance to cover all of the mods I had on my GWE.
6. Other muscle car owners will hate you - **** 'em
7. It just isn't for everyone - It would not be my first choice for a daily driver, but if I had to I'd do it with a big grin on my face.
