The ON/OFF igntion switch has nothing to do with the ignition circuit. Its not an ignition kill its a start button kill. One is simply disruting power to the PUSH putton switch. Remote starter still works, cars unlock etc.....
BUT...... that will not allow one to start their car remotely but everything else would work.
A better route is starter kill. I have one located in my trunk. The one inside is for the ON/OFF switch. I have two but rarely use the trunk mounted one. I will at times as its just another layer of security but the kill switch inside is really all one needs.Lot of people talking about kill switches and they're not a terrible idea but you need to be careful not to install it on the ignition circuit. The electronics in a car still run and do things (like data logging and the like) well after a car is turned off, so activating a kill switch on the ignition circuit is going to disrupt that activity and could cause problems with the way the car runs and performs. If you're going to install a kill switch it should be on the fuel pump circuit.

Just a question- what about a battery kill switch?
