The ON/OFF igntion switch has nothing to do with the ignition circuit. Its not an ignition kill its a start button kill. One is simply disruting power to the PUSH putton switch. Remote starter still works, cars unlock etc.....

Lot of people talking about kill switches and they're not a terrible idea but you need to be careful not to install it on the ignition circuit. The electronics in a car still run and do things (like data logging and the like) well after a car is turned off, so activating a kill switch on the ignition circuit is going to disrupt that activity and could cause problems with the way the car runs and performs. If you're going to install a kill switch it should be on the fuel pump circuit.
A better route is starter kill. I have one located in my trunk. The one inside is for the ON/OFF switch. I have two but rarely use the trunk mounted one. I will at times as its just another layer of security but the kill switch inside is really all one needs.

BUT...... that will not allow one to start their car remotely but everything else would work.

Just a question- what about a battery kill switch?

I didn't say anything about the pushbutton, I said the ignition circuit.

I’m more worried the step sons will take mine out for a joyride than being stolen!! I’ve got two extra lock set ups inside the car plus take my keys with me everywhere lol .. keys don’t stay home just because the cars still there!!

Tazer came up with some sort of theft prevention. I plan on trying this when I get mine out of storage. Looks like you do a steering wheel code to start the car. Or it shuts the car down within 20 seconds, even locking up the brakes.

Yes it locks up the brakes, does not keep the car from starting. It actually sounds like a good system. The only thing is that it must remain in an OBD port.
