Race car and family car!! 3 car seats and still able to fit over 400 worth of groceries! And that's with a custom sub box in the trunk that holds 2 sealed 12's with a face plate. Mustangs and camaros couldn't even come close to this!! Another win for the good guys!

And to think I almost traded this beauty for a 2015 Malibu for family purposes. Smh. What was I thinking!? Lmao

2X on going to Walmart. OMG. Just kidding. You have to do what you have to do. Glad you didn't get the Malibu.

I've been in the back seats of Mustangs and Camaro's....can't even begin to compare them with the Challenger's back seat.....or the entire car for that matter!!

Froot Loops and Dr. Pepper, the breakfast of champions LOL. It's nice having a roomy trunk, you can also put two drag radials, a small cooler, assorted tools, a floor jack and a lawn chair in there. :smiley_thumbs_up:

I hear ya! But, using similar logic, someone might say those high-performance Rams and Jeeps > Challenger because they haul more.

Fact is, we're comparing apples and oranges. Just as the present-day Challenger is neither a truck nor an SUV, it's no longer a pony car. It's a muscle car, like a GTO, Chevelle SS or Torino GT.

Unless I'm forgetting another RWD, V8, 2-door American sedan, Challenger is in a class by itself.

Good one Sosa, that is the #1 reason we chose the Challenger too.

Don't even get me started on WalMart Christina. My mother in law works there. So, here are some realities on WalMart:

1. Don't buy fresh beef, chicken or pork, its all frozen and brought in via un-refrigerated trucks from their distribution point. That is why the plastic wrap looks so puffy, its the gases leaking out due to defrost.

2. Don't buy fresh fruits or vegetables. I know three grocers, all of them agree, WalMart purchases the low and middle end of fruits and veggies to save money.

3. WalMart relies on your laziness. Example, at most stores you can purchase an "8" pack of Ivory soap, but at WalMart, its a "6" pack. So, initially, you think its a better price. Once you do the math, it isn't.

4. If you have to make a major purchase at WalMart, do it online and pick up the goods locally. Even if it is in-stock. WalMart puts lower prices online for most goods. A good example of this is video games. At the store a Wii U game was $39.99, I went home and bought the same game from WalMart online for $24.99 and had it shipped to store (the same store) and saved the money.

5. Liquor, WalMart is NOT cheaper for liquor at all. Your local grocery or liquor store will have better deals easily.

6. Try finding pet food that is not made in China from WalMart. Enough said on that one.

7. Last but not least, the deli counter. Avoid this place like the plague. Every meat or cheese that is a choice is low to mid end at best. My favorites are the turkey with the gelatin on the top or the ham that is more water than meat.

on the trunk size, I won a 55" tv from work, and I was able to take it home, a 20 mile trek, in the trunk of my Challenger. I did have to tip the back seats forward, I needed about 4-5 inches extra, but it almost fie completely in the trunk. I work at a Ford store and checked a 2015 Mustang trunk for comparison, you would have a hard time getting a 27" tv in, and would probably have to drop the back seats to get anything over 32". I know most people don't buy these cars to haul TV's around, but its a convenient way to compare what fits. And before I put it in the trunk, everybody and their brother was having a good laugh about how I was going to get it home. I guess I got the last laugh on that one.

I can vouch for this, put a 50" tv in the trunk of my challenger with the seats down. Also could fit all 4 tires in the back of the car when I went to get the snows put on.

First of all, you rule for having 3 car seats in the back of your Challenger! I have 2 seats in the back for both of my kids and I think there's plenty of room. If we had another kid I'd jam another one back there no doubt. Very cool!

Second, very cool on getting groceries in the Challenger. I do the same thing with my wife and kids on weekends. Tons of room in there to fit everything!

We've also fit a big travel crib, luggage, baby bags, diapers, toys, and everything else in the trunk when we went on a few family vacation trips down south. Tons of room for everything, no way that could ever happen in a different car like the Mustang or Camaro. Don't think the travel crib would even fit through the trunk opening on either of those cars.

Glad to see others are using their car as a family car and not afraid to put car seats in back and haul the kids around. Both of my kids love riding in my car now. I'm sure your kids will grow up and have great memories of riding in the back of your Challenger. Way cooler than in the back of a minivan!

I used to be a big mustang fan as I have had 5 of them. I now have as 14 charger rt. But I have a scat pack being built. I wanted a two door cope again and the challengers seem to still have plenty of room for just 2 doors. Definitely a big plus!!! Couldn't agree more.

Yes the Challengers have a massive back seat compared to nearly all two-door coupes, but one of my reasons for buying my first Challenger in 2008 was the fact that it had TWO doors, not three or four! :D :D The back seat helps me out for insurance purposes!:smileup:

The trunk is big enough to put three or four dead hookers in, but all I do with it is carry cleaning supplies! (I saw the movie "Dirty Work" and reference trunk space by that...:D :D)
