I will hold off on ordering one to my Shaker comes in, because it does seem there is a slight variation on stock height from car to car. I DO like it slightly more prominent, especially since I intend to have it painted F8 to match body color. I like the bottom of inlets to sit just above the hood line, that is what I think looks "best."
My concern is clearance and potential for damage- I know the factory gasket is significantly thicker, and even then, I have heard mention of it rubbing paint off the underside of hood. My other worry is the potential for both static clearance issues with the mounting studs/bolts when closing the hood, or when the engine has the normal slight rock or shake in operation.
Am I being paranoid?
