I would definitely get some PPF under there. I’ve been thinking about these but am nervous to have them stuck to my car for that very reason. PPF would be the correct way. I would think the dirt that gets behind would definitely damage paint.

I had a set of bushwhacker fender flares on a truck years ago and they rubbed the paint off where they touched the body.
I have them on my 2022. No issues here but you’re not going to see any kind of damage unless you’re taking your flares off. Anything you have against your paint is going to cause some wear but the PPF will help.Just curious, I'm planning on getting some soon.
