As the title states.

I've done a lockpick and rear camera install on my own 14 Auto.

I have a friend who is looking to put a camera on his manual SRT8, I was wondering if the lockpick works or not, or if there is an alternative.

My research is saying both yes and no, so hopefully someone has had experience with this.

Thanks in advance.

I did one on my 09 6sp and if I remember correctly the harness was a plug and play. It may have been a special 6sp harness but it came with the camera as part of the lockpick.

Hope this helps. Sorry I couldn't be more specific but I do not remember having any issues with the install.

when getting the camera do you guys prefer one over another. basically whats the best one out in your opinion and have you had any problems.
When I did the research for my setup, it looked that there were many types that can be used succesfully. I used this one:

It has been trouble free for 2 1/2 years now. There are many choices from that company. Installation was plug and play with my CHR-550 Lockpick. The only issue is the backup lights tend to wash out the picture at night.

My question is: Does the factory radio (I have a RER N730) need to have a Lockpick installed for the backup cameras to work? Or can I just plug up the RCA plug to the back of the radio and wire the Camera to the backup light?
