If I wanted to replace the battery on the car, and I have a tune installed, would I need to put back the factory tune before changing the battery?

No, however, you may want to use a memory saver that plugs into the OBDII port to save your presets on your stereo. We ask our customers at Advance Auto before installing a battery.
