I've been asked if I restored the car myself, I've been asked about my Charger and was told by one person how much they love these old cars, even been asked if it's a Hellcat but I've never had anyone over here think it was a Mustang lol.

I have... When I first got it an older gentleman stopped me a parking lot and started telling me that he had once had a mustang but had to get rid of it... Told him it was a Challenger several times during the conversation but he kept on calling it a mustang... Finally I just smiled and let him keep on... poor guy I think he really loved that car...:(

I am just poking fun lol

I don't see it that often anymore really, seemed more prevalent in the 90's

It was definitely prevalent in the 90's. But here lately seems like I have been seeing it a lot more than normal.

I find this to be the worst! I respect anyone who does it. But I believe it's disrespectful to those with actual hemis. Drive your SXT with pride you can make it look bad ass without needing to fake what's under the hood. My opinion anyway :D

Dude. You just took thoughts out of my head. I had a friend ask if it was v6 and then scoff as I said yes. As we were leaving he got in his Honda Accord. I think we both know why he scoffed. Haters will always find a reason to criticize. I love my V6!

IMO, don't put anything on your car that states that you have something that you don't (examples: "392" or "SRT" badging on a non-SRT). Imitating styling is something else, which for example, installing SRT wheels on an SE. If I saw this I could make the assumption that the SE owner simply liked the SRT wheel's styling better, and not that he/she was attempting to deceive others in the car's trim level.

I look at this way, if you wanted an R/T, etc. go out and buy one. I have a 2106 Challenger with the 3.6L V6. The only thing that has done to it is an after-market spoiler and K&N air filter. It has everything I want. It does everything I want it to. I have had quite a few nice compliments on it just the way it is. No need to up badge it.

When I break into the 12's I've thought about a small discrete old school Super Bee emblem on my rear spoiler, but I believe people would think its a Scat Pack emblem. What do you think?
