Ok,

All you SRT and Scat Pack owners...is it me or does the 6.4L wake up after you put approx. 4800 miles on them?

Yep...there are several threads about it. The speculation is something in the programming holds it back during the break in period and when you hit around 5K it really wakes up.

My 5.7L really woke up around 5K miles, maybe even a little sooner. I think the computer holds back some timing or something to let things break in and then opens it up after that point. It's pretty noticeable though from what I remember.

Once tuning becomes available on the 2015's I would recommend getting a custom email tune with a tuner. The custom tunes remove most of the torque management built into the stock tune and really let the car loose.

I really wasn't interested in a tuner because I'm currently content with the stock performance, however....

I just got my scat pack yesterday, and coming from a car that is 3 times less power than this cars numbers are estimated at, even during the first 250 miles i've had the car i am SUPER impressed… and i haven't even had it above 3500 rpm! I'm also just thrilled with the interior. I am SO glad I waited until 15, I was this close to getting a 13 SRT and I waited and then the SCAT PACK teasers started coming out and I was immediately ripping out over it. Well well well well worth the wait.

I cant wait to get the 500 miles done with and get to romping on it.

Just what I have heard...but some haven't been able to wait that long...LOL:4-dontknow::hah:

Haha yeah I have less than a year left on my powertrain warranty and my bumper to bumper warranty expired a while ago. Don't forget about my custom tune too, those don't void warranties do they? :)

Let's keep that hush hush until I get that input shaft grease Starr case deal taken care of okay? :p

^ Put the car up on jack stands in the back and put it in Drive for a while. Get those miles up past the break in point where the VVT kicks in fully, then when the nice weather comes you're at full power! It's a very safe idea...NOT! Haha!

At least yours is sitting in the garage safe and sound. I have one last winter of driving mine in this crap, then I'm getting a winter car for next year.

You can romp before 500. Read your Owners Manual. Exercise the RPM range when able.

Oh I very much read the manual, haha. I picked her up with 77 miles on it, today i got through the 100-300 mile portion, have 400 miles now and have done a few roll on 4th-7th pulls briefly hitting full throttle and oh my god… This thing has so much more than my 07 6.1L srt charger had. And i even had a predator CAI tune in that one!
