Brake bleeding issue...

Not sure but it could be your ABS valves. My nephew is having a similar problem with his 04 1 ton dually still waiting to solve that issue. When we get it figured out I will post what we find out. We already tried several code readers that control the ABS, one of them was $5000.00 unit borrowed from local high school.

As you probably know by now from responses you have received on another forum, the problem is likely because when you have the brake lines disconnected air got into the ABS system. In this case you will need a way to activate the ABS pump to cycle fluid through it to flush out any air and at the same time replace "old" fluid with new fluid.
See my post before yours, that is what we tried, & have not had any success yet, been 4 mo. more to come.

There is no bleeder on the abs pump. You have to use a scanner and bleed electronically. Section in scanners that allow the pump to be bled. Almost impossible to bleed the system without a scanner. You can get a pedal conventionally bleeding the system but it will never get all the air out. Bleeder i was referring to in earlier post was on the calipers. Scanner will ask you to open one bleeder then direct you to open the other bleeder after first one is done. Ive changed many pumps, calipers and always have to use a scanner to get all the air out of the system.
Did that did not help

Ok heres the easiest way to bleed a system.
1. Fill the reservoir with fresh fluid.
2. Open a bleeder, one at a time.
3. While bleeder is open, have someone else push the brake pedal to floor and hold it there.
4. Close bleeder with pedal on floor. Once bleeder is closed then release pedal.
5. Repeat til you see fluid come out when pedal is pushed to floor. Do all 4 wheels this way.
6. Once you see fluid at all 4wheels then bleed with conventional way and scanner to bleed abs pump.
DONE,DONE,DONE,DONE,DONE,DONE,& PRESSURE BLEED NOTHING WORKS

I have been doing brakes since high school I am 66 now, that means drum brakes ,rebuilding master cyl., wheel cyl., the works.
This is what was found on the 04 Chevy deully , keep in mind I was not at the truck & involved in parts install. First off if a caliper comes with a bracket & it doesn't fit, stop. But my nephew did not stop, managed to use the trucks original bracket , this will not work on a normal brake job because the calipers are so much different in size. But on the deully it did, what autozone had sold him was not only the wrong side of caliper but a front one to at that. This put the bleeder screw on the bottom of caliper instead of top where all the air is, no way this system would ever bleed.
