I know this is probably the wrong place to post this but,here goes...Just last week when I started my car,I put my foot on the brake to push the start button,when I let off of it I heard like a "clicking" sound coming from underneath where the shifter is..(auto)..anyway with the car running I press the brake pedal and hear this sound again,then I let off and and hear it again It's coming from right under the shifter....I've never heard this before and I'm taking it to dealer to have them look into it...Someone told me it's some sort of safety thing so kids can't just throw it into gear....any thoughts? This only happens while in park.....

The neutral safety switch is located in that area. Mine clicks just once, as I put it into gear. If it's clicking more than once, the switch might be acting up. My 2008 Charger was real loud, my 2010 Challenger not so much. If your still under warranty, have the dealer check it out.
