So I found a deal on a set of used Brembo Brakes for my Challenger. It comes complete with the spindles, rotors, calipers, pads, brakes lines and sensors. A friend of mine says that its a waste to buy the upgrade because I will never really get the use of it. While I do take the car to the track occasionally to run 1/4 mile, I'm never going to race the car. So it is mostly for the look. He suggested to buy the MGP covers. I checked them out and they look ok. I don't know.. something about them just doesn't look right to me. I've painted calipers before on previous cars and they also never really look as good as the Brembo calipers. So here is my question. Do you think its worth spending over a grand to get the sporty look of the Brembo's? Will you notice a the braking difference?

You may also need new wheels to clear the brembos, just a thought.

I painted mine red and bought white Dodge caliper decals off E Bay for 8 bucks.Looks great. They also have Brembo decals.Amazon has some good looking inexpensive caliper covers that look like Brembo brake calipers.I would not go through all the time and expense to change all that out unless you drive the car hard or go to the track.

Wlemer do you have any pics of what you did? I have the 20" wheels that came with the 100 Anniversary. Do you think I would need to replace the wheels? Maybe painting them is the better alternative. Currently I have the HD brake system.

If you go the brembo route make sure you have the SRT knuckles or they won't work on your RT. Imo do the brakes, nothing like the stropping power of SRT brembos or better. Night and day difference over the RT brakes and yes you can use that's stopping power on the street. Can't tell you how many times over the years my Brembos have saved me in the streets.

I had Brembos installed on my RT Plus before taking delivery, you will definetly have to change out the knuckles and you will need wheels with a greater diameter than the stock rims on a RT. Keep in mind the doughnut spare will not fit once you install the new brakes, I just bought a additional rim. It was worth the expense to me, they make the car look great and I get mad attention from people wondering how I have Brembos on my RT. I always say, if you really want something then you should do it.......the alternative may not make you happy.

Want looks - paint, covers, stickers, etc.
Want performance (and looks) - replace the brakes with the Brembos.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I will go the Brembo route. I will just have to go acquiring the parts little by little. The guy I found is selling a complete set off a SRT Charger. I researched the calipers and they are the same. The Spindles\Steering Knuckles he's selling with them don't match the part numbers on the Challenger so I don't think they wll work. Does anyone know the specs on the SRT Wheels vs the 100 Anniversary Wheels?

Sorry I feel like I'm answering my own questions with a google search lol. So the 9 is width. So in an earlier post someone mentioned that I would need to change the wheels. If the wheels are both 20", will the width affect me being able to put the Brembos on? I really like the 100 anniversary wheels and I would rather not part with them.

You will need 9" wide wheels to clear the SRT Brembo's so you need to add that into the cost of the swap. While I did go with SRT reps that are 20x9 I was not willing to fork out the dough for the brake swap. The R/T brakes on my SS/T package SXT are just fine. If anything getting a better set of brake pads would do good as well.

After all that said, I went with red MGP covers. They look great behind the chrome SRT reps.
