Yeah , I agree with Tiki, no biggie, as long as the product gets better and stays true to quality and with some luck service, but also they don't forget the heritage....so far so good and I believe it will continue to get better.

Agreed, no biggie. Walter P.'s marque is still on the cars and on the corporation.

The Fiat Chrysler Automobiles name isn't all that much different than Daimler-Chrysler.

The company name doesn't mean that much to me as long as the product Brands and the quality of said Brands remains the same or improves. Hell, my Employer has changed names so many times since we got sold that I'm not sure who I work for anymore...........but we still make good stuff out of my location.....

Hopefully, the quality will be good, and the products will be reliable. I only hope they will not start renaming the cars. You know, instead of Chrysler 200 or 300, we will have FIAT 200 or 300, or maybe Lancia (the 300 is named Lancia Thema in Europe).

Ok, nothing wrong with being an optimist but which of you owns a Fiat ?
To me no matter what spin you put on it the Chrysler name standing alone meant something.
When you put Fiat in the front I think "Little Car" and even Daimler has a stronger sound.
Nothing can be done but to an old dude like me Chrysler said power. :4-dontknow:
Hopefully Sergio won't mess with the name Dodge.

Hahaha! Bigsnake is so right.

Actually, I had a FIAT before I moved to the U.S. (around year 2000). It was a FIAT 500 (Cinquecento) - a small tin can, with 35 HP and 0.7L (43 CC) engine:

A real beast. ;) It was slightly faster than a bicycle. :D

Not many people ( at least the ones i know) called their car a Chrysler...it's a Dodge, or a Plymouth or a jeep or just plain a Mopar. I don't think Fiat throwing their name in front of Chrysler is going to be a big deal in my opinion. Make a great car, stand behind it and respect it's heritage and the name of the company can be Buttercup for all I care...just don't lose the brands within it, keep those names. Just my opinion folks :)

Better Fiat Chrysler than no Chrysler at all.I was not happy at first having Fix It Again Tony involved but I am ok with it now.

Better than Daimler-Chrysler! Besides Sergio is a real gearhead so the Chrysler brand is in good hands! I could be wrong but I believe he's responsible for the return of the Viper.

Agree! Daimler was the senior partner in this union and it showed. Daimler did very little to support the Chrysler product line and was very stingy in sharing technology.
