Good evening,

Just recently installed a Dual touchscreen in my '12 SXT. Ran no
problem until a week ago and I came out to start the car and it did
not start. It wanted to turn over, but it was a no go. My sister never
had a battery replacement and it never showed signs of weakness.

A little background, I did not use the PAC interface to connect to the
red 12v wire instead i ran an add a fuse to the fuse box(not sure which one).
I do believe it was a 20 amp fuse though.

Removed the add-a-fuse and it did start, but then after two tries it did
not want to start again. Anything i can do to correct this issue?
I did replace the battery and will probably purchase the PAC tomorrow
just cross out a couple issues. Thoughts?

Indeed, I took back the Dual and bought a JVC KW-250BT and the correct Interface. Yet, still not
starting. I do have at least a quarter tank, so I'm sure its not that, ha. It cranks as though it wants
to, but I'm not getting it to turn over. Pretty confused at this point. Guess the stock radio wasn't
all bad...?

Thanks. It's crazy. I even threw the stock radio back in and still no start. Hooked up my kia with jumpers, no start. Took the original battery to advance, no start. I'm looking for all advise right bout now

Some fuses get power all the time meaning if you hooked to one of those, it would drain your battery. Other fuses only power when the car is running.

Indeed, I eliminated that. I have noticed that one of the HVAC controls is blinking. Any idea of what that may indicate?

I appreciate the replies. I'll see if I can get it over to the dealership when I get paid this week

Update: 1/13/21
Admittedly, I'm a crazy person. Upon further review I found that in my haste to put
the car together before dark I somehow removed the fuel pump fuse and placed
it in the wrong location...I also did the same with the AC heater/security fuse, which
explains why the doors would not lock nor would the radio turn off when the doors
were open and vehicle off....

My apologies and thanks to all for the help. I'll pay more attention the next
go round.

Glad you found the issue and thanks for the update. I learned the same lesson many years ago. If it don't work right after I changed / added something, I ALWAYS double check what I did before chasing shadows. ...................(most of the time, it's my error)
