Im a newbie here looking for some help! I have an 14 rt an added cai, 87mm tb, lt headers and catless mids. I changed the mufflers but left the stock 2.5 piping. Removed the h pipe for x pipe. Any feedback on whether to go for 3 inch or stay w 2.5 at this point. Going for tune next week so want some input! Any is greatly appreciated.

Welcome 2 the site, A guy I me at a muffler shop has a 15, and he removed the mufflers and put straight pipe in its place, then got rid of the resonators under the trunk and used 40 series Flowmaster at the rr. I like loud sound but I think he might go back to factory mufflers at the rr, due to the drone.what ever you do, get rid of the resonators.I put 18" glass packs on and no sound difference, next I'll delete the resonators and add 20" megaphones.Hope I was some help.

From everything I have read from the forum members here, it is best to stay with the 2.5" system on the 5.7. Sounds like you have a great start so far, good luck with it.

I think you should stay with the stock size pipe personally. By going with the cat less mids you have already done all that needs doing with relieving back pressure and going with any bigger pipe will just be a waste of money unless you are going with a bigger cubic inch engine or superchargeing IMO.
