Very cool Phil! Sounds like a lot of fun! Just mentioned this to my wife and we're thinking we might go. Could be my kids first experience at a dragstrip! Looks like 460 miles from Detroit to Bowling Green, maybe 7-8 hours drive time.

How many people typically show up to these events?

We had over 200 cars last year and about 180 at the track. Great day and low stress at the track, very good event for track newbies or for people who have not been there in a long time. We have several people from your area that caravan down. Do you Craig belvedere ?

Sounds cool, that's a lot of Challengers! Don't know Craig. I met a few guys from my area this summer at a local event we sort of put together on our own.

Might be a silly question, but do they have anything going on at the track that day that's somewhat family oriented (i.e kids stuff) or is it strictly guys with their cars and stuff? Just curious because I was thinking of going with my wife and kids and wasn't sure how long they'd last at a noisy track without any kid stuff to do. I could hang out there all day but a 2 and 4 year old might not have the same enthusiasm as me haha!

Sounds like a good time. I'll talk it over with my wife and see what she thinks. Looks like I have until March 1st to book the hotel room and get the discount so I have some time to mull it over.

Worse that could happen is the kids get bored and might have to leave a little earlier or something. My 2 year old loves watching videos of my Nova racing at our track here so maybe she would get a kick out of it there too haha!

Many people bring their kids but no nothing really at the track but look up cave city Kentucky and you will find lots to do.
I didnt see it listed on here, what is the registration cost, is it per car or per person
the final price is being worked up but it is paid per car if racing and per person if just doing the car show and watching the racing.

Cool, thanks for the info! Would be fun to run my car at a different track but not sure my wife would like being stuck with both kids in the stands all day by herself haha! Would be cool to just hang out there and BS with people and watch some racing.

Looks like my wife would get in free and so would my kids, another big plus!

Sounds like a good time!

Do they ever have any gatherings in Brampton, Ontario, where they're built?

My daughter and I will come in on Saturday and watch. She is too young to be left alone and we enjoy the racing and conversations.

If you want to run your car, she is welcome to sit with my wife and others while you do.

I got the wife and daughter coming down to watch now. Looking forward to a couple decent runs and meeting all of you. I didn't participate in 2014, but 2013 was amazing.
