December 2014 U.S. sales increase 20%; full-year sales up 16%
FCA US LLC today reported U.S. sales of 193,261 units, a 20 percent
increase compared with sales in December 2013 (161,007 units), and the
group’s best December sales since 2004. The Chrysler, Jeep®, Ram Truck and
Fiat brands each posted year-over-year sales gains compared with a year
ago.
The Chrysler brand’s 53 percent increase was the largest sales gain of any
FCA US brand and the brand’s best December sales since 2007. The group
extended its streak of year-over-year sales gains to 57-consecutive months.
Eleven FCA US vehicles set records in the month of December.
Canada reports highest annual sales ever
Chrysler Canada today announced its 61st consecutive month of
year-over-year sales growth, representing the longest sales streak in the
company’s history. December 2014 sales were 21,613 units compared with
15,445 units in December 2013, an increase of 40 percent.
For the full year, sales were 290,004 units compared with 260,015 units in
2013. The annual results are a 12 percent increase and represent the
highest yearly sales tally in the company’s history.
Mexico reports best sales month since 2012
Chrysler de Mexico today reported total December sales of 10,730 units,
representing a 2 percent increase versus December 2013 and its best month
sales since 2012.
New Uconnect services to debut at annual consumer show
FCA US is taking some additions to its highly acclaimed Uconnect Access
suite of connected in-vehicle services to the 2015 Consumer Electronics
Show in Las Vegas. The company will introduce four all-new Uconnect
services that include Vehicle Finder, Send Destination to Vehicle, a
Monthly Vehicle Health Report and Vehicle Health Alert. These services are
uniquely designed to help owners monitor and maintain their vehicle’s key
operating systems, easily navigate to desired destinations and keep track
of their vehicle’s location at all times.
In addition to the four all-new Uconnect Access services, the company is
introducing a revitalized and refreshed Uconnect Access smartphone
application designed with a whole new look, feel and functionality.
