I'm looking at two SXT's in my area that I may purchase this month. It's between these two:

http://www.heritagevwbaltimore.com/used-cars/2012-dodge-challenger-2dr-cpe-sxt-v1838469/

I really liked the black wheels, parking sensors and dvd player from CarMax, but I can't shake the feeling that 25K is too steep for a used SXT. Am I wrong for feeling this way.

I also like the SXT plus from Heritage, I figured I could add rims and an aftermarket in dash navigation system at a later date.

Based on these two, which one would you suggest?

Neither honestly. An sxt isn't worth 25k and the other one at Heritage doesn't have any options. I'd consider that Redline Rally Heritage has though. Its a shame it's not black though.

I noticed it had Cooper Zeon's on it. Better than the factor F1's

I did for both, for the CarMax Challenger kbb give me around 23,000 and for the Heritage Challenger kbb gives me 20,000. What do you mean by splitting the values? You think CarMax would go lower?

Carmax is usually between the high & low price. If they are above the high KBB price I would skip it.

Yea, it's too bad CarMax doesn't negotiate because tt seems like their car has all the features. Here's another car I found, it has the Ralle Redline paint and Rims do you think this car is worth it at 45K miles?

It looks nice..
I wanna say it is but Norris always overpriced there used inventory when they had a Ford Stealership in Easton here on the Shore. Let me do some research and tell you what I can find as far as what the market has to offer. A major thing to consider is obviously the price but how many miles you travel and how long you plan to own it.

Keep looking! The right car at the right deal is out there! From what I've seen so far you're not jumping at the first thing you see. It'll happen! Enjoy the Journey! Lou.

I forgot to ask if you are looking at CARS.com? Are you looking at out of state sites? There seems to be a price diff between Maryland and PA. Also what year span are you looking at? I am being deluged with 2010 R/T's around 23K for what they're asking you for an SXT. Is it the bells and whistles? Granted more was offered starting in 2011. Just saying'. Enjoy the Journey! Lou.

Hey bro, dont be afriad to go outside of MD, I found my RT with 29,000 miles and I talked the dealer down 4K without even going to the dealership, mine was fully loaded, with tint and pipes but I had to go to Fairfax for it. I just take it to Dodge on Harford Rd. for service, I am pretty sure you can get a new 2015 SXT a little over $27K. unless youre in a rush for a can just keep looking.

43k miles is high for a car that's been on the road for less than 2 years. Check the history on this car first, make sure it didn't start off life as a rental. I doubt if any car rental company would add an SXT redline to their fleet, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

Just to clarify, when I wrote that I doubted if any car rental company would add an SXT redline to their fleet, I meant that many car rental places have base model SXT's for rent, not specialty packages like the redline.

Thanks for all the responses, I'm going to start looking into nearby states like VA and PA in hopes to finding the Challenger I'm looking for. I currently have a Cadillac STS that's in good shape so it's no rush to find one, I just want an SXT (or RT if cheap) with fully loaded features in black. I don't see CarMax selling that 13' SXT at 25k with the 2015's out around the same price range.

My dad had a beautiful 71 Challenger before it was stolen, looked like the one in the picture.

You found a looker Susie although either the description or the pictures are wrong. They describe it as an auto but the interior pictures are from a six speed. For the price though doesn't seem too bad if it's in good shape.

Take it easy
