Did Salvador Dali really engineer the new 2015 Challenger interior?
WOW...what is up with the new 2015 Challenger interior? I just test drove a new 2015 R/T and my first impressions are that the new interior looks like a cross between an early 70's pinball machine and a Salvador Dali painting. What can I say....to each their own...live and let live...it's a free country...individual taste. Okay, I know that Salvador Dali paintings are worth millions. I know that they are very interesting to look at. They kind'a make you wonder about things in an interesting way. A novel way...but I don't really need a zig-zaggy shifter console with kiltered cup holders and a star trek inspired auto shift handle. And, there is no way the old school pistol grip shifter (like what I installed in my 2014) would ever look right in the new 2015 interior if you go manual. IMO the whole new 2015 dash looks like it has been melted or warped in weird angles and curves...not straight and smooth and simple. The new 2015 Challenger interior looks too busy and cluttered and confusing. I didn't feel at home or at ease sitting in the new 2015. When I was young I used to play electric guitar. Back then I found and purchased a very unique and futuristic guitar. I've sold that guitar maybe twenty years ago but the guitar would go perfect with the new 2015 Challenger interior. That guitar was made by Gretsch and named the Astro Jet. Please look up a picture of the Gretsch Astro Jet and then tell me that it would not look right at home sitting in the front passenger seat of the new 2015 Challenger. Again, this is all just my opinion. I truly commend Dodge for trying new things. They get an A plus in my book for effort. I'm hopeful that the next thing they try...maybe in 2017 or 2018 ends up more to my liking. Until then, I'll drive, wash, polish, and cherish my 2014 Shaker with it's straight, smooth, and simple interior.
