Do you think Challenger TA will be as popular as Scat Pack?

I think Dodge will stop making the SRT if these TA takes off, but it would appeal more it they had the correct hood on the car. I think also over the pass few years with the 6 or 8 or so different models of the same car has confused a lot of non-Mopar folk (I too was confused). to start the BIG/TRUE Mopar fans with come out the woodworks and get this car but the SP will remain the #1 seller in the line up. IMO

I'm hoping the T/A will be unpopular. Why would you want your car diluted? I see none on the roads. But I see Scats and Hellcats. I'll take mine rare thank you.

Unfortunately, the Designers chose not to implement the appropriate T/A HOOD for the T/A... Duh !
They appear to be just Slapping Badges on whatever; without doing homework about the heritage of the vehicles.
    Smh

I've seen a few T/A's in the wild, but average John Doe has no idea what the differences are.

Have you seen a T/A commercial introducing or explaining the difference between it and the SRT, Scat, R/T, or the Shaker?

So, how do they expect to Grow the Brand, or introduce New Enthusiasts?

Personally; I'm done buying another Mopar... I've had 4 new ones in 10 years.

    1. 2007 Chrysler 300 Limited.
    2. 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T.
    3. 2012 Chrysler 300 Limited.
    4. 2016 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack.
I will be keeping both of my Challengers and eventually re-building the motors, or replacing them with Crate Motors.

    Mopar Has No Loyalty Program:
We Enthusiasts Buy & SELL more Mopars than any of their sales staff.
We explain the differences to others; the pro's & con's of each vehicle.
We are the Brains behind their Research & Development (R & D).
We buy more Parts (MoPar) than the average owner continuously.
We provide true non-biased feedback as a community, and not as a "Blog-Boy" trying to gain fame.

Please excuse my Rant... But, it needed to be said.

    Enjoy The RIDE...

This may be the unpopular opinion, but I don't like the old style T/A hood on modern Challengers. It worked great on the classic Challenger T/A, but whenever I see it on a modern, it looks like a big, clunky snorkel.

When the Scat Pack was introduced in 2015, at first not many people really knew what it was. My dealer knew I was interested in more power, but he went straight from suggesting the R/T model to the SRT, skipping the Scat Pack completely. I would have been a buyer if he or I had known what the hell we where doing.

However, by 2016, everyone had caught on and the Scat Packs were selling like hotcakes, and I don't recall ever seeing any widespread media or advertising about exactly what a Scat Pack was. It seems like word of mouth and dealer awareness came into play. That may be guiding their T/A strategy as well. So far it has been, "If you build it, they will come."

I'll take the AAR hood any day over a true T/A hood on a modern Challenger.

Yeah, I have to agree, at first I was like many others that really wanted the original style T/A hood from 1970 on this latest edition T/A. However after seeing a conversion done in person with the "snorkel" hood on a the current T/A, I was thinking it looked a bit out of place. The AAR hood style ala SRT hood is cleaner and much more modern looking (even though this design is from 1970 lol). After having my T/A for some time now, I wouldn't change this hood out, I love it!

I couldn’t agree more about the hood. Though I love the original T/A’s, the idea of a non- aerodynamic, bulky hood doesn’t appeal to me. I love my T/A.

I also like the hood that comes on the T/A better than the old AAR hood. Nice and clean looking.

You mean better than the old T/A hood right? The old cars had more flat real estate after the air cleaner. On the modern car the slope picks up quick making the T/A scoop look odd. At least on the ones I've seen plopped on Challengers. Not a fan.

Going against the crowd after seeing one in person at Carlisle this year. Like I have stated before, if they come out with a true FF (Panther Pink), a T/A will be in my garage with the correct T/A hood and a stable mate to my Shaker.

I came across a Yellow T/A this afternoon...

I passed him on a fast moving street (45 mph) and I hit my blinker to change lanes after being 4 to 5 car lengths ahead of him.
At that very same moment a Four cylinder piece of crap car changed lanes into my lane and cut me off. I maintained my speed and proceeded to change from the fast lane to the center lane.

As I continued into the center lane of the Yellow T/A that WAS 4 to 5 (lARGE) cars lengths behind me; he obviously excellerated thinking I was trying to RACE him... Smh.
This dude was a nice distance behind me...

    I'm thinking WTF !!!

Based upon build numbers, I know they’re out there, but I’ve not seen another T/A on the road- period. I see scat packs often. Maybe it will take a while for them to catch up.
I had my dealer go find my T/A, and they had not seen one before mine. They have had scat packs, Shakers, Hellcats, etc..., but they were really knocked out by the t/a.

My local dealer has called me twice already. They have 3 T/A's on the lot and none of them are moving. He has had them for about 6 weeks. He claims he will make me a "Deal." Nope... ain't gonna happen. Maybe if it had side pipes like the original, but it just don't look right.

This was ONE BADD-AZZZ Muscle Car!!!

The Side Pipes and Black-Out Hood, along with the Stove-Pipe on the Hood made it look CrAzY-Different.

Scat Challenger was pretty BLAND in 1971... Except for what was under the hood.

I have a dealer here in North Little Rock that has had 8 T/As on the lot, mostly 5.7 like mine, but cloth interiors no extras, still they look stunning in all the different colors! They had two more around the back (6.4s) one in Octane Red the other in GoMango, stunning!!!
