I'll start it off with some very early history in the Dodge Challenger line-up...

In 1969 the Dodge Challenger was officially introduced to the public. To enhance the introduction at the countries major auto shows, they grabbed the first Challenger produced off the assembly line in Hamtramck, MI and used it as a base for a Concept/Show Car named the Yellow Jacket. This particular car was a specially built triple-black, 4.10 axle ratio equipped four-speed Hemi Challenger that packed the full options list available at the time. The photo's below show this exact car in the promotional photo's taken at the time.

Im pretty sure the orange box on the firewall of the Hemi Cuda is a Mopar Performance electronic ignition conversion setup. I put that on a couple cars but I hid the box under the battery tray. It came with a new distributor also but unless you really knew what you were looking at it was hard to tell.

Good catch! (y)

That's a REV-N-NATOR aftermarket ignition system component by R/T Garage. Not sure if they're in business anymore but that was quite popular back about 10 years of so. Guess it really upgraded driveablity, power and it even had a built-in rev limiter.

I believe you're right...that does look like the eBay auction item you pasted in the link to. I stand corrected!

This is a Rev-N-Ater and it is different when looking at the close-up view below...

Would that young owner happen to be you?

Besides the orange box they also made a gold box and a chrome box. Not 100% sure what was better with each step up but I think a hotter spark.

Nope, I had a 70 Charger RT in F8 Green with a black vinyl top and black tail stripe...I wish I had pic's of that, but wasn't into cameras at that time. Only burning tires...:ROFLMAO:

Great vid! I subscribed several years ago to that channel and have downloaded all the episodes to my tablet to a certain point. Looks like I need to go back and get the newer ones! I never have found out exactly who "The Brothers Collection" is actually owned by either...they are extremely camouflaged.
