If there was room , would there be a H.P. benifit to using 2 C.A. I. filters ? Lets say you fabed a 2 into 1 collector kind of like a header system on a motorcycle . One tube coming from the Throttle Body like normal , then they "Y" off like a exhuast collector and use a filter on each one . Any benifit ? While were on the subject ,,,,, if there was room , what if you ran the tube from the T.B. on top the engine and used a dropped base 14" air filter like racecars ? I know that would mean cutting a hole in the hood and adding a scoop, but would there be any H.P. gain there too ? Thanks . BooBoo

No benefit on a stock or even mildly modified engine. A single CAI can provide more air than the engine can use as is. It would have to be a monster engine with power adders like forced induction to require dual CAI intake. The best benefit comes from having a true CAI, making sure that the air entering the TB is truly cool. This is why I used the K&N CAI with a plastic intake tube and insulated the tube with reflective tape. So the engine heat would not also heat the intake tube and the incoming air. The plastic tube and insulation transmit far less heat than a metal tube would.
