Hi Guys, newbie here. I have a question regarding the SHAKER package versus the typical RT package. I can't seem to find the information online. Does the SHAKER package produce any performance gains compared to the stock RT?

Shaker package is listed as late availability, so presumably sometime soon we should see the order window open for it as an option. As of the moment though there doesn't seem to be too much information out there on it.

As for performance I don't believe that the power rating will be listed any different than a standard (non shaker) car. Mostly probably for looks, but you would think the cold air system would be good for at least a little boost.

The cold air induction is what prompted me to ask the question. So I guess my next question should be, since it already has a cold air induction, what should be the first mod to increase horse power. Many say a chip, but I wouldn't even know what brand. I'm a old school mopar guy. this new stuff is all greek to me

Well if it was available for the 2015's (which it isn't yet) I would get a tuner (not a chip). Diablo is currently the go to brand for most here, getting a Intune or Trinity model. However until they crack Chryslers code for the 2015 it won't be available, that could be next week or next year, hard to say at this point.

The exhaust system is already pretty good so there may not be a lot in the way of bolt on's to add until tuning comes out. You could probably do a slightly higher stall converter (if you get an automatic), possibly upgrade to an 85 or 87 mm throttle body. Nitrous would be another option, then their are things like drag radials and lighter wheels if you are thinking about taking it to the track.

Get rid of the rear resonators, you will notice improved throttle response and the hemi will sound like a hemi, I would estimate 15 to 20 hp gain. Steve White Motors (Luke) has some quality built resonator delete kits that are excellent, They have factory hangers and clamps and use the same tooling Chrysler does so you can use your factory tips and clamps. I have them on my shaker and love them, they took about an hour to install in my driveway with a jack and basic tools

The 2014 Shakers are listed with the exact same HP as the non shaker cars. Its odd too because the shaker comes with the mopar CAI and they advertise that CAI as a performance boost.

The Mopar Cold AirIntake System increases airflow by as much as 20%, boosting torque up to ten lbs., and power by nearly ten horsepower. All of this while improving fuel economy (one to two mpg depending on driving style). Air filters are high-flow and low-restriction, offer better throttle response and increased filtration and horsepower. Filters are made of a new drymedia material which is washable and reusable. Fits 5.7L only

I went with a Hypertech Interceptor tuner. Adds about 18 H.P. non adjustable. Also increased m.p.h. by a couple m.p.g.
