So after waiting six months I finally got around to getting my exhaust done. I went with the Super 44's and removing the resonators and I am very happy. I wanted tone over anything and that's exactly what I got. I wanted something deep that didn't crackle (glasspacks). I would of loved to run straight pipe or glasspacks but John Law doesn't smile upon that around here. To anyone that is undecided I say these are a great option for tone but not for overall loudness. It finally sounds like it should have from factory. :smiley_thumbs_up:

I don't think it drones bad but I like drone and I am used to it so its hard to say since that's a preference and an opinion. On the highway it's quiet and can barely notice it with the radio on. Through town at lower speeds that's when you can really hear it. I can go through town and keep it quited down or barely get in it and it will roar. I would never keep the resonators personally. If you are looking for options for your ram I would consider removing just the resonators and see how it sounds with the stock mufflers. I had a 2010 hemi sport and never done the exhaust but was surprised the tone it had for it being stock with resonators.

Flowmasters are cool. I've got a set of 40 series on my Nova and it sounds like a total beast! Sets off car alarms, even rattles stuff inside the house when it's in the yard idling haha! Definitely has some drone but I don't mind it, I actually enjoy the loud exhaust on that car.

Do the newer R/T's with automatics still have that big "suitcase" muffler or did they do away with that on the newer ones? I know my 6 speed just has some little bottle mufflers and then the resonators out back. Would be neat to hear what just swapping out to Flowmasters would sound like.

. those old muscle cars had a lot of torque. Yes they they still have the suitcase mufflers and are very disappointing :/. I actually wanted to put cherry bomb extreme mufflers on but the smallest they make are 2.5 inch. If you enjoy loud exhaust I say definitely remove the resonators.

Here's a link to what the Extreme mufflers sound like:

Cool man! I'd like to go a little louder but it's still my daily driver and I take my wife and kids on long road trips for family vacations every year so it'd probably be a bad idea. Don't want to make my kids deaf before age 10 haha! If it were just me in the car all the time I think I'd go for it though.

Your a better husband and father than I would be :D

That sounds purty !
They do. They have the same tone as the 44's but just seem to be a bit louder.

Haha! My Nova is the loud obnoxious car, haven't touched the exhaust on my Challenger yet. The Flowmasters definitely sound cool though. I like Flowmasters, Blastin Bobs resonator deletes, and Solo Mach X catback, all of those seem like they're pretty cool exhaust mods to go with for the money.

I can only imagine with the nova haha. Those are some nice options and the Borla atak system doesn't sound bad either. I just couldn't see spending a grand on a complete system. I feel most of it is way overpriced and you can get the sound you want depending on your preference for a 1/4th of the cost by just replacing the mufflers and resonators.

Right on man, I agree with you 100% The cost for aftermarket parts on these cars is crazy compared to the older cars. I've seen some catbacks go for near $1,500! The Solo system is $792 and if you get it on Black Friday it's under $700 which isn't horrible for an entire system, but it's still not chump change either.

I actually like the sound of the stock 6 speed exhaust on my car, the tone is just right, just a little more volume would be cool one day. Maybe a resonator delete or different mufflers would do the job.
