dumb question, since you remove collision in winter does theft cover collision if the thief crashes your car? my insurance is reasonable enough that i just leave it on fully insured even when stored.
Being a former insurance agent, the answer is yes. Comprehensive coverage is for fire, theft (which includes what they do to it), hail or any other natural disaster. Collision is only for an accident when you are at fault and damage your car when driving it.

I don't really qualify as a winter storage owner, but mine has seen a lot of garage time this winter with all the snow we have had the last month. We are close to 50 inches now, with another 5 yesterday. I am pretty sure I won't be driving for a few weeks now.
But when you can get out here, there isn't any salt at all. Once the ice melts, then you are good to go! I just really loved driving in the Black Hills on December 30th without anyone there!
