I finally put a chaser turn signal kit in a few weeks ago. During dis-assembly 2 of 8 working bulbs suffered filament failure. My car was barely 2 yrs old. :SHOCKED:

Had to drive my wife's car to get new ones, all 8 as the rest probably would have failed from the "shock" before long.

EVERYTHING used to be built tougher not too long ago.

Another nickels worth of free advice...if your mod reuses incandescent bulbs, just go out and buy new ones first. :shakehead:

Be sure to check down in the sockets and make sure contacts are not collapsed (stuck down). I've seen this happen on some of the after market harness's and nothing be wrong with the bulb.

As soon as i removed the bulbs from the OEM socket(s) the filaments broke into pieces- easy to see right away.
