What worries me is the fact when I may be ready for another Challenger, the new generation car won't be as retro as they are now. It seems all car companies want to change something in the design of cars as time moves on, however when you already nailed the perfect body style, any changes down the road may take away the attraction that drew every one of us to the car in the first place, I already read debates on the 15's likes vs dislikes. My plan is to go another 3-4 years, heck by 2019 these cars may look a 2 door Avalon LOL....the thought of that gives me chills.
I guess the other option is buy used.

Up to a point Retro works but sooner or later the basic lines may remain that started it all but evolution always rears its head. The Mustang is the most evolved car that has been around for a long, long time. It had a pretty strong retro look but strayed away from that even though the basic lines of the car remain that make it a Mustang.
It's inevitable that the Challenger do the same. I for one hope that the defining shape of what makes a Challenger a Challenger remain but someone is going to change the face and the tail. As you know that is already happening with the Hellcat and the 2015 models as well. Right now things look pretty good though I hope they never come up with a Challenger II model like the Mustang II! Enjoy the Journey! Lou.

AND when I was growing up with muscle cars I never saw a 4 door charger. EVER. reason? they didn't make any (thank God) I guess they figured it would compete head to head with the challenger.....

To be honest if the Charger had a two door option back when I got my Challenger I probably would have the Charger instead. Blasphemy (!), I know, but true. I just don't know why anyone would design a 4dr Charger.

I've got to disagree with the Charger comments. Yeah, it's the wrong name to use, but any affordable, modern, full size, rear drive, V8 powered American sedan is OK in my book. They probably should have called it the Coronet instead. That used to be their Hemi sedan back in the '60s.

When I was in high school a buddy of mine said he was getting a Challenger for his graduation. To his surprise it was a 78' Challenger and not the 1970 he saw in a used car lot. Needless to say, he was not happy. We told him look at it this way, it's new, it starts and it runs.

And has since turned into "rust dust"! LOL!
