My car is being offloaded from the rail car, and I am to be at dealer next week. So I called insurance agent to make sure I have coverage. Appears I am covered for 14 days under my other 2 cars policies. Then it seems Travelers has not rated the model, and may not accept it after that as an add on to my existing policy. Great past driving history and seasoned adult driver. Have others had insurance problems? And need to find company that will cover them and what cost. Any assistance from those having taken delivery appreciated.:4-dontknow:

Just as my hypothetical example, thru my current State Farm homeowner/multi-vehicle policy, replacing my 2010 as a personal limited use vehicle, it would only add $95 annually to my policy.

Of course you will be able to get insurance for it, just might not be very cheap. There are high risk companies that will insure anyone for a price. In the old days when I sold car insurance we used Dairyland. They mostly took teenagers with bad driving records or people with previous DUI's. Shop around and I think with your record you should be able to find a company that insures this car.

Insurance on a 707 HP car was also making me think my Insurance Co. might not insure it. I would have to check before I bought one. I am in my 70's and they don't like us either.

Insurance Companies now of days are all about risk. They may choose to not insure a car if they do not want to. Homeowners with dogs of certain breeds are finding it tougher to get insurance.Sometimes you can pay more and sometimes it is a flat no.

If your current agent is unable to tell you if the Traveleres underwriters are able to rate your car you should be looking for another agent and possibly another insurance company. She thinks that having all your lines (home, auto, umbrella, etc.) with one carrier is best. She was with State Farm for 15 years and we have all our insurance coverage through them.

She also recommends 300k in uninsured motorist coverage.

Don't expect OEM replacement parts with any carrier. If you want that you will pay the diference out of pocket. But for a total or stolen car State Farm will be more than fair.

A specialty carrier to consider is Haggerty. They will be more money but top notch service and coverage.

Your wife is spot on and with his good record, someone will take this coverage. Of course a Hellcat will be more expensive to insure, but not impossible.

When I called to get a quote they could not give me one without the Vin. Since there were no Hellcats on the road I couldn't even grab one from another car's windshield. Cost of insurance includes many factors. What one person pays will not be the same for someone else. Shop around the best deal. You can get it insured. Hop over to the Charger side and do a search on Hellcat insurance.

Out of curiosity I called my Shelter agent was looking at replacing my 2012 SXT with a new Hellcat Challenger my insurance only would increase by like $60 bucks.That's a total of $220 every 3 months or $440 per six months.The agent told me it's the value of the car not the car thats insured.
The insurance is very do able , it's that monthly payment!!

Farmers Insurance in IL (Chicago suburbs) didn't give me any problems at all. My rate went up a little, like $40 dollars, but overall went down because I used to carry extra insurance to cover the mods on my 392 which I dropped (for a little while).

We have Nationwide auto insurance and had no problem whatsoever switching out Challengers. We had a 2014 RT with a T/A hood and just pulled the Hellcat into our garage on December 1st. Our rate went up about 30%.
