I just watched a YouTube video showing that the stock intake from a hellcat can be installed on a 2015 rt and it will pull air from the head light housing just like the hellcat. Has anyone done this yet. The stock airbox off a hellcat is a lot cheaper than most aftermarket cai's that I've priced and I would think the set up would work pretty well. Any thoughts or input would be appreciated!

Has anyone tried this on a 2014 or older model? I would love to do it on my 2011 even though I doubt it's easy and maybe not possible.

So for us "older" Challenger owners the question is: Will 2015 headlight assemblies fit our cars so we can join in on the fun as well?

So what is the benefit of this over an aftermarket intake? Any gains from this one over the stock air box?
Factory designed, fresh cold air directly rammed into the airbox should have great benefits. Cold air makes more power. Most aftermarket CIA's suck in ambient hot under hood air so generally just end up looking cool and not doing a lot for performance.

My thoughts on this mod are that it would be better than most CIA's especially when combined with a k&n or similar drop in. No it's not worth a lot of hp but many small tweaks such as this can add up. The Dodge engineers did it for a reason. Maybe it's that extra 7hp in the Hellcat's 707hp rating:smileup:
