This is actually well done and I agree with most of the things that are being said here. However, I can't say I wouldn't go after some the electric cars, regardless of what he says.

While you do need better tires to take full advantage of all that power, you as a Hellcat owner, the baddest muscle car of all time, didn't buy it to go picking on mere V-6's and turbo 4's. Not much out there can run low 11's so why is this guy so scared. Yes you need to have good conditions and the ability to preform a good launch. If you run against an all wheel drive car it may very well get the jump on you but you should be able to run it down over the course of the 1/4 mile if it is not also a low 11 second or better car. Anyone with any sense knows that Tesla video was a joke. My wife's minivan could have run faster than the 17+ seconds posted by that guy. I haven't seen the Denali video or the others he's referring to but I assume they are more of the same sort of thing.:shakehead:

Thought the video was pretty funny and the Tesla ran an 11.6 at 114 which is a good run regardless.
The Hellcat driver was a pitiful representation and should practice his launch for a month and request a rematch or let a real driver under the steering wheel.

Word is that once he red lighted he just held into the throttle to do a big burnout, he didn't know that his bad run was going to make such big news.

The Hellcat driver has been practicing and I believe he has run a best of something like an 11.1 on drag radials. The rematch has been set and should go down soon, guess another video will soon be surfacing.

Here's a more recent video :

As we all know bad runs occur all the time at the track, I've beat a bunch of Shelby's, a Boss 302 and a Roush Mustang all when I had my R/T. That doesn't mean I actually thought my R/T was hands down faster than all those cars, no it means I was able to launch and get to the other end of the quarter mile first though. Fortunately for most folks when they make a bad run it isn't recorded and posted as some supposed representation of what the car can do. I'm looking forward to their rematch.

Me too, as there is a ton of videos on the net about that Tesla run and the Hellcat driver better be on his game because the electric Tesla's launch is much easier.
