Help hooking up a wired tach...

    Hi all I did ask this be for but never got any feed back im trying to hook up a wired tachometer. For my 2010 challenger rt but I can't seem to find a repair manual or where to start I just need the hookup for green wire? Ty for anyone getting back to me.

    Just curious - doesn't your RT already have a tach? I would think the wiring leads would be the same unless the tach is part of an integrated dashboard circuit - not sure as I haven't taken that apart.

    Yes it has one but I think its all part of that bored I have seen them apart trying to find out the wire that comes out for tach

    I am following, I would definitely like a nice tach in the corner of my dash. The way I sit in my car, the top of the steering wheel blocks the speedometer from 40-140 and the tach is gone after about 3k

    Wish I could help, I wired up my tach in my Nova but that was a much simpler setup. Not sure on the Challenger. Seems like you'd be able to find a wiring diagram on the internet somewhere or maybe stop by a dealership and see if they have one. Their techs must use something when they work on cars.

    well like you all to no my car is down after I had someone try yo hook up my tech hookup wrong fried fuse then coil pack then PCM im hoping to get fixed this week for racing sure be nice to get some feed back if any so this don't happen grrrr :-(
