Are the hood vents on the 2015 rt functional?

Yes they are.

The holes go all the way through, both the sheet metal and the under hood insulation. However, they do not line up with anything that needs or uses the air. Underhood air pressures can be quite high and it is doubtful that the "ram air" effect will overcome it with any authority.

AWESOME!! Actual test results. So, to make these work, I need the SRT8 scoops, cause they have the added duct, and the SRT8 hood insulation?

Though, I still think having them directly feed twin air filters, mounted just over the coil packs, going through a 'Y' pipe into the throttle, would be the ultimate

The RT ones are functional (at least on the 2015). They're only 1/3rd open though. I saw a mod maybe here or elsewhere that someone routered out the other parts of the insert and made the regular RT ones more functional.

My 2015 has a oval hole made into the hood insulation ,but nothing like the vids i saw where some good isolation was cut out big time to accommodate the srt8 ducting.it appears my hood vents do have small holes ,but I haven't taken the hood insulation down to see what's there.I can tell there some kinda plastic housing there.would i any benefit from adding the srt8 vents ? I know it's just a few degrees of bay temp, but is something I'd do as long as I'm not already getting it. And or what about the mod to remove or dremel open the vents ? Vents probly better. And what about the tiny slit holes in my insulation, can I cut around without it unravelling?
